- UNZIPIT VERSION 2.0
- By Ed O'Halloran
-
-
- Unzipit is a DOS utility written in Turbo Pascal 7.0 that is
- designed to automate the installation of Zip Files. Unzipit
- will work from any drive or directory, including floppys, as
- long as a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE is somewhere on your path.
-
- SETUP is simple, simply copy UNZIPIT.EXE and PKUNZIP.EXE to
- your DOS directory and make sure DOS is on your path statement
- in AUTOEXEC.BAT. Typically PATH C:\DOS;
-
- RUNNING Unzipit, Type UNZIPIT to start the application, when
- asked for the source drive type in the letter of the drive you
- want to search and press ENTER. A scroll bar will then appear
- under the title box listing the directories on the selected
- drive, use the arrow keys to scroll through the directories.
- What it does: Unzipit used a Lotus style reverse light bar to
- allow you to search all drives and directories on your system
- for ZIP Files. Once the Zip File you want to install is located
- simply highlight it and press enter. Unzipit will then use the
- Zip File name to set up a default directory. Example if you
- Highlight the file $JILL.ZIP in the directory C:\Procomm\File
- Unzipit will then give you the default INSTALL TO C:\$JILL OR
- ENTER YOUR OWN TARGET DIRECTORY __.
- Once this option is selected Unzipit will create the target
- directory, or warn you if it already exists, copy the selected
- Zip File to the Target, Unzip the file, eliminate the unneeded
- copy of the ZIP File (The Original Will Be Left Intact) and
- exit you to to the target directory.
- If no ZIP Files are located use the ESC key to stop the search
- then type in a new drive letter to search or Q to quit.
-
- Unzipit is unrestricted for personal use, commercial users must
- first obtain permission.
-
- No guarantees of compatibility are expressed or implied.
