- TW Events (TWEVE044.ZIP)
- TW Events adds a whole new level of play to TradeWars 2002, by returning
- that element called the unknown. Nothing is for certain anymore, and
- players cannot take anything for granted, because anything could happen--a
- Ferrengi infiltrator could cripple their ship with a well-placed bomb, a
- Supernova could wipe out an entire region of space, a boost to their fuel
- economy could give them an edge over the other players for a day or two,
- and their Level 5 citadel might not be so defensible if an explosion
- knocked out the shlelding system for a few days. Anything is possible,
- limited only by my own imagination. (A limit I haven't quite found yet)
- SysOps can even define their own externally-called Events.
- (Available Now, Shareware $5)
-
- TW Missions (TWMIS085.ZIP)
- TW Missions spices up tired games of TW2002 by injecting a new, interactive
- dimension. The Federation will now send players on quests to the far corners
- of the galaxy, ranging from something as simple as eliminating some rogue
- fighters, to tracking down and terminating a marauding Ferrengi Dreadnought,
- to rescuing a port from terrorist factions, or even going after another
- player!
- (Available Now, Shareware $10)
-
- KitWorks (TWKIT010.ZIP)
- KitWorks is a program designed to help you more easily manipulate and use your
- ShipEdit ShipKits. Within it, you can install, create, and modify nearly any
- aspect of a ShipKit. You can cut and paste ships to and from Kits, the
- workspace you have ships loaded into, and/or TW2002 itself. Note: KitWorks
- does not edit the ships themselves--you use ShipEdit for that.
- (Available Now, Public Domain : Source Code Included)
-
- Genesis (TWGEN14B.ZIP)
- Genesis is for those SysOps who want to place random planets all over the
- galaxy, but don't want to waste hours in Tedit. It currently reads from a
- list of names and places planets randomly, and much more is planned for it
- in the future.
- (Available Now, Shareware $10)
-
- ShipEdit (TWSHIP26.ZIP)
- The ORIGINAL, best shiptype editor for TradeWars 2002, ShipEdit offers many
- advanced options for SysOps who want to make the most of TW2002. Options
- such as creating a tiny Kit file from their set of ships, which can be
- exchanged with other SysOps using ShipEdit. This Kit can be installed on any
- TW2002 v1.03 or v1.03D game in moments! You can even change flags which are
- normally hard-coded in the game, such as which ship requires alignment, and
- which ship new players begin with. For those who don't need anything quite
- this fancy, ShipEdit's main function--to edit ships--is remarkable simple to
- use. Best of all, it's free! (But donations *are* encouraged)
- (Available May 1993, Public Domain : Source Code Included)
-
- TW Hex (TWHEX11.EXE)
- TW Hex is, at its heart, designed for one thing--making creative changes to
- the TW2002 executable files and other hard coding. Options such as changing
- the strings in BigBang (before the game is even rolled!), altering the
- prices of the three products, and changing the ship manufacturer names, can
- make your TW2002 game a unique experience for all! In the current version,
- it only supports editing of TW2002 v1.03 Standard, but 1.03D will be
- supported in the future.
- (Available Now, Freeware)
-
- NetEdit (NREDIT11.ZIP)
- NetEdit is the only official SysOp editor for the NetRunner door game. It
- allows a visual walkthrough of any system in the game, alteration of all the
- prices in the game, and many useful editors. Written by the same person who
- wrote the player documentation for the game, as well as one of the original
- playtesters, this is a quality product.
