  61.  With the unregistered version you cannot use the emulation mode of Scalos.
  62.  This means Scalos will open a screen and appicon/appwindows and appmenus will
  63.  not be supported. You can see how Scalos works, but you can't use it as a real
  64.  replacement. Minor updates are free and major updates will cost an update fee.

  104.  - backfill-icons will crash on a picasso, because of a bug in the emulation

  121.  Scalos works 99% like the original Workbench. You should look at the Workbench-Book
  122.  for information.

  124.  Scalos will use most of the known Workbench preferences, except Palette and WBPattern.
  125.  For these two exist replacements in the Scalos archive.

  127.  All Scalos Preferences are mainly based on the MUI 3 Drag&Drop system.

  129.  - Palette:
  130.     Here you can select pens which will be locked on the Scalos screen. It will replace
  131.     the good old MagicWB-Daemon. Don't forget to adjust the Scalos internal pens, just
  132.     click on PenAdjust and drag the colors you like to the defaultpens.

  134.  - Pattern:
  135.     Here you can select a list of patterns. Scalos will recognize them by the number
  136.     you give them. If you use the same number for multiple patterns Scalos will use
  137.     a randomroutine to select one of them.
  138.  
  139.      "Tiled/Fit Size" - how should the pattern be displayed? If you like to use
  140.                         "Fit Size" you have to enable "use GUIGFX"
  141.      "No remap" - don't remap the picture
  142.  
  143.      "use GUIGFX" - the GUIGFX library gives you a very fast and high quality rendering
  144.                     routines (e.g. the colorreduction and ditherring)
  145.      "Pen Precision" - select the precision how the pens should be allocated
  146.  
  147.      GUIGFX Options:
  148.       "AutoDither" - will enable dithering automatically if the picture may lose to many
  149.                      pens
  150.       "Colorweight" - how many free pens should be used for your picture
  151.  
  152.      DefaultsPage:
  153.       "asyncron Layout" - render the picture while reading the icons instead of waiting
  154.                           for the layout to finish before opening the window
  155.       "use friendbitmap" - speed up the patternrefresh by using a second bitmap. Is
  156.                            ignored if you use a V43 picture.datatype and/or GUIGFX
  157.       "always relayout" - scale the picture again if you change the window size
  158.       "randomize everytime" - select one of the random patterns every time you open a
  159.                               window with the selected pattern instead of randomize the
  160.                               patterns only on bootup.
  161.       "asyncron-Task priority" - TaskPri of the asynclayout task
  162.       ... default patterns: Select where you whish to use which pattern.

  164.     Additionals: With the tooltype "SCALOS_PATTERNNO" you can select a different patterns
  165.                  for the windows.

  168.  - Menu:
  169.     That's the menu Scalos will use. Try out the menu-presets.

  171.  - Scalos Mainprefs:
  172.     Check it out. I don't have to write much about it. Don't forget to use Drag&Drop.

  174.     Miscellaneous:
  175.      "Auto Remove Icon" - remove the icon from display if you start dragging
  176.      "Hardemulation" - Scalos will patch some private functions to make the standard
  177.                        Iconinfo available. Swazinfo work without HardEmu.
  178.      "Non-masked clickarea" - if you enabled this you can only select transparent icons
  179.                               (e.g. newicons) by clicking directly on the image. Clicking
  180.                               in a transparent area of the icon will do nothing.
  181.      "Menu Currentdir" - Set the currentdir to the window's dir if you start a AmigaDOS
  182.                          program via menu.
  183.      "MMB Move" - Enable the scrolling of the innerwindow part using the middle mouse-
  184.                   button.

  186.     PlugIn's:
  187.      You can only add OOP Plugins here. Menu-Plugins are for use with the MenuPrefs only.

  191.    These plugin's have to be added in the ScalosPrefs PlugIn list.
  192.     "title_freepens.plugin" - addes "%wp" command to the title commands which shows the
  193.                               current free pens.

  196.    These plugin's can be added in the MenuPrefs.
  197.     "sorted_cleanup" - will sort the icons by name before it cleanups. Dir's will be sorted
  198.     first.
