  1. CDCat (MUI) is a revolutionary cataloging system which allows
  2. catalogisation of all kind of CDRoms (especially Aminet-CDs),
  3. other devices or directories (e.g with a lot of pictures etc).

  5. It scans the contents of the device and saves it into a scancatalog
  6. on your hard drive. There is also a special Aminet mode that converts
  7. the INDEX files included on the Aminet-CDs into a special catalog
  8. format which also remembers information about size, age and description.

  10. Then you can search catalogs for certain strings or browse through
  11. the catalogs dir by dir. There are also 15 free configurable user buttons
  12. that allow for example unpacking archives directly out of CDCat.

  14. There isn't support for other languages than german YET as I had not
  15. enough time to do this YET. But reach out for later versions that
  16. MIGHT support other languages, too.

  18. If you wish development of locale support, please write me a letter
  19. and tell me that you would like to use CDCat in another language.
  20. This will only be implemented if enough people are interested.
