In this tutorial we will import a QuickTime Movie and add a musical soundtrack to it.
Double-click on the Movie "SlideShow.mov" to view it in Movie Player. Notice that this movie is a group of nature photos followed by city photos. We will use SmartSound® to construct a soundtrack that will fit the mood of the movie. Now Quit Movie Player and begin the tutorial.
Step 1
1. Run the SmartSound® for Multimedia application by double-clicking its icon in the Finder.
2. Click the button "Editor".
3. Choose "New" from the File menu.
4. Select "Show Movie" from the Sequence menu.
5. Locate the movie file "SlideShow.mov".
6. The size that the movie is displayed can be adjusted by changing the size of the Sequencer window.
Step 2
1. Bring the Controller Window forward by choosing "Controller" from the Windows menu.
2. Click "Start Maestro" and use the Maestro with the following selections: Background/Custom 12 seconds/Peaceful/Innocence/Harp Sweep.
3. Click "Finish"
4. Click "To Editor"
Step 3
1. Return to the Controller by choosing "Controller" from the Windows menu.
2. Click "Start Maestro" and use the Maestro with the following selections: 90's Style/Custom 10 seconds/Grooves/On the Town/Brass Hits.
3. Click "Finish"
4. Click "To Editor"
Step 4
1. Choose "Export..." from the File menu.
2. Name the export file and click "Export" to save it.
3. Double-click on the saved file to view it in Movie Player.
