  39.                             WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?

  41.     We welcome You to the party of your dreams - the ASSEMBLY!
  42.  
  43.      This huge party is arranged by Rebels and Complex in Finland.
  44.     The party will take place in a school in Kauniainen called
  45.     'Kasavuoren koulukeskus'. The conference will open at 1000 hours
  46.     Friday the 24th of July 1992 and the doors will close Sunday the
  47.     26th at 1400 hours.
  48.  
  49.      We are sick and tired of the lousy arranged parties popping up
  50.     around us and that's why we already have made a lot of arrangements
  51.     for this party and we will keep arranging until the party is over.
  52.     This party won't be another of those profit-making parties. At this
  53.     party everything will be there for you.
  54.      And this party will also be the first ever PC party of this size
  55.     in Finland. PC freaks just can't miss this one!
  56.  
  57.     The party will with no doubt be one of the biggest and best parties
  58.     in Finnish history. This is guaranteed by the organizers,
  59.            Rebels, Complex, DataService and Grendel/Byterapers.

  63.                              HOW TO GET THERE
  64. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.      Kauniainen is located 15 km from Helsinki and the easiest way
  66.     to get there is to first get to Helsinki and then take the bus
  67.     or train to Kauniainen.
  68.  
  69.      If you come by bus there are several busses going to Kauniainen
  70.     but with bus number 261 (platform 351) you will get right in front
  71.     of the partyplace. You just get off at 'Kasavuorentie 1' or
  72.     'Kasavuoren koulukeskus'. The bus-stop is 30 meters from the school
  73.     building. The bus trip takes approx. 25 mins.
  74.  
  75.      If you come by train then take one of the local trains 'S', 'L',
  76.     'E' or 'U' from Helsinki to Kauniainen and then walk to the party-
  77.     place from the trainstation. Maps will be available at the train
  78.     station. The train trip takes approx. 15 mins.

  80.      We (Future Crew) will send paper-invitations to the best PC groups
  81.     around the world. If you don't get an invitation but still want to
  82.     come, contact us or Rebels/Complex for further information.

  84.      If you want to get picked up at the airport or somewhere else
  85.     the Amiga organizers will be pleased to help you. Just inform them
  86.     beforehand.

  90.                                COMPETITIONS
  91. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.      As always on these kind of meetings there will of course be some
  93.     competitions.
  94.  
  95.         RULES FOR THE PC COMPETITIONS:
  96.      For the PC we'll have at least a Demo competition. If enough
  97.     people decide to support a Music or/and a Gfx competition, we'll
  98.     have them too. The compo demos must have SoundBlaster support.
  99.  
  100.     Music compo songs can have from 1 to 16 channels and they must
  101.     be in .STM or .MOD format. But, for example, if you have composed
  102.     an 8 channel song, be sure to have a player which can play it.
  103.     All compo songs must be playable through SoundBlaster or
  104.     SoundBlaster Pro.
  105.  
  106.     In the graphics compo the pictures must be in .LBM format. Pre-
  107.     ferably in 320*200 mode. 640*480 with 16 colors is the maximum
  108.     format. No SuperVGA formats.
  109.  
  110.      We will also have a realtime LAME-democompo for the PC. It means
  111.     that you have about 5 hours to make the worst demo in the history
  112.     of demos. You will have to start from nothing. The prizes will
  113.     also be LAME ! May the worst demo win !!!

  117.         RULES FOR THE AMIGA COMPETITIONS:
  118.     Demos:    Must work on a standard Amiga OR an expanded Amiga
  119.             If it is a multi-load or just a single part demo, it's
  120.             up to you. (The same group may release several demos.)
  121.     Music:    Any music routine as long as it works on a standard Amiga
  122.             or on an expanded Amiga. It must be executable. (1 tune
  123.             per competitor)
  124.     Gfx:    Must be in IFF-format. (1 picture per competitor)
  125.     Intro:    One part and screen only!
  126.     Realtime democompo:
  127.             You have 4 hours to make a demo from nuttin.
  128.     Kick off:
  129.             The version used: Kick off 2
  130.     Disk-throwing:
  131.             This event will be introduced at the Amiga Easterparty
  132.             '92 in Norway. And the world record from that party WILL
  133.             be broken! (We count on you!)
  134.     Frisbee Ultimate & Length compo:
  135.             As you might know Ultimate is a team sport and length
  136.             throwing is invidual. Well, further rules will be given at
  137.             the party. Frisbeecompos organized by Murk/Sonic, the expert
  138.             frisbeethrower. (Afterwards, you can join us in a cool
  139.             plunge in the public swimming baths.)
  140.  
  141.     In addition to these we will have some other fun compos.

  144.         COMMODORE 64 COMPETITIONS:
  145.     This textfile doesn't include the information about C-64 competitions.
  146.     So, C-64ist's must contact Rebels for further information.

  149.            The competitions are shown on a 2 metres high screen!
  150.  
  151.      We haven't determined the competition prizes yet but we can tell
  152.     you that they will certainly be better than on any computer party
  153.     in Finland yet.
  154.  
  155.         VOTING SYSTEM FOR THE COMPETITIONS:
  156.      When You want to vote you'll just go to one of the terminals
  157.     at the party and vote. To vote you will be asked to give your
  158.     secret password which you have chosen when you entered the
  159.     party-place or when you informed us about your participation so
  160.     that only you can use your vote. We think that this is a very fair,
  161.     accurate and fun way to vote.

  165.                            FEATURES AT THE PARTY

  167.     CAFE:
  168.     The cafe will sell everything in foodway to satisfy your stomach:
  169.     Coca-cola, hot-dogs, pizzas, juice, chips, pop-corn and other
  170.     snacks. And of course the most essential to keep you awake: COFFEE!
  171.     The cafe will be open 24H/day.
  172.  
  173.     BIG SCREEN:
  174.     The competitions are shown on a 2 meter high screen and the audio
  175.     effects are great!
  176.  
  177.     HARDWARE SALE:
  178.     DataService will be at the partyplace selling hardware. Disks,
  179.     IOC-chips and lots of other hardware will be available.
  180.  
  181.     FOOD:
  182.     You will get a discount at the local pizzeria by showing them your
  183.     Assembly '92-card.
  184.  
  185.     LOUDSPEAKERSYSTEM:
  186.     Loudspeekersystem that covers the whole school where you can
  187.     hear the latest news and advertise your group.
  188.  
  189.     MOVIES:
  190.     The newest ray-trace movies are shown on a 2 metre big screen.
  191.  
  192.     ASSEMBLY MOVIE:
  193.     Assembly VHS-cassettes are sold a few days after the party when
  194.     we have edited the material we film at the party. They can be
  195.     purchased for a very reasonable price from MeeGosh/Rebels.
  196.     (approx.50FIM+postal fees)

  198.     PARTY T-SHIRTS:
  199.     T-shirts are sold at the partyplace for 50FIM. They are especially
  200.     designed for us by Bruno. Check out our party invitation for the
  201.     scanned piccy of Melvin which we call our party-animal.
  202.     NOTE! There is only a limited edition, so be quick!
  203.  
  204.     PHONES:
  205.     Outgoing phone inside the partyplace (pay-phone) for calling up
  206.     worried mums and girlfriends.
  207.  
  208.     SHOWERS:
  209.     Clean showers in the building in your disposal.
  210.  
  211.     SLEEPING:
  212.     We have a couple of rooms for sleeping purpose. There you can get
  213.     some sleep in peace.
  214.  
  215.     OTHER FEATURES IN KAUNIAINEN:
  216.     - 30 metres to closest bus stop
  217.     - 1500 metres to local trainstation
  218.     - Food store across the street
  219.     - Combined Pizzeria, Pub and dancebar downtown. At the pizzeria
  220.       you will get a discount if you show your personal assembly-card.
  221.     - 200m to the public swimming baths and a big green football field
  222.       where the frisbee and disk-throwing-competitions will take place.
  223.     - Loysy hamburger restaurant downtown
  224.     - 300m to a small kiosk
  225.     - A Snooker Center downtown

  230.                             BOOZING'N'PARTYING

  232.                         Message to all partyfreaks:

  234.      There will be NO BOOZING at the partyplace but there is a fine
  235.     dancebar in Kauniainen-City. For guys that don't like bar's prices
  236.     or for some reason don't want to go to the bar, some members of
  237.     Rebels and Sonic will organize a trip to a beachparty in Helsinki!
  238.                  There you may party as much as you want!

  240.                      Since this is a legal conference
  241.                        NO BOOZING AT THE PARTYPLACE
  242.                                 is allowed!

  244.      We don't need to mention any more rules here because we think
  245.     you all can respect that we don't want to have any kind of trouble.
  246.     As this is a legal conference, we will call the police if anyone
  247.     breaks these rules radically or makes a lot of trouble in any way.

  249.      But of course you all know how to have fun at a party without
  250.     boozing. So by all means do have fun!
