  48.     This CD contains the ELSA Display Driver for Microsoft Windows 95.
  49.  
  50.         The driver supports 256, 32768, 65536 and 16 Million colors in
  51.         all resolutions available on used ELSA board.

  68.         In case of trouble during or after installation, please make
  69.     sure you have all the files mentioned above!

  74. 3.      Installation
  75.  
  76.     This section describes the steps to install an ELSA Display
  77.     Driver for Windows 95.
  78.  
  79.     To install the drivers, start the program SETUP.EXE in this
  80.     directory. The installation assistant will help you to install
  81.     the driver with the control panel.
  82.  
  83. 3.1     First installation of ELSA Display Driver
  84.  
  85.     First install Windows 95 without special drivers for the ELSA
  86.     graphics board. The installation procedure should
  87.     find a PCI VGA-compatible display adapter and ask for a
  88.     "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer".
  89.     - Push the "OK"-button
  90.     - "Copy manufacturer's files from:"
  91.       CD-Drive: this directory (e.g.: E:\WINNER\3000S\WIN95)
  92.       The neccessary files will be copy and Windows 95 asks for
  93.       restart.
  94.     - Push the "Yes"-button
  95.  
  96.     After the restart the configuration of the ELSA display adapter
  97.     Driver starts from the Windows desktop.
  98.  
  99.     - Start the dialog "Properties for Display" by clicking right
  100.       mouse button on the desktop or per Control Panel.
  101.     - Select the Property Page "Settings" or "ELSA WINman".
  102.       - Property Page Settings:
  103.         Standard-Windows-Dialog for changing resolution, color
  104.         depth and font size.
  105.       - Property Page ELSA WINman
  106.         ELSA WINman gives you full control to configure your ELSA
  107.         display adapter perfectly. You can change resolution, color
  108.         depth and refresh rate, bild position etc.
  109.  
  110.     Normally you need to boot your system. Push the button "Restart
  111.     now".
  112.  
  113.     In all following Windows sessions you can change the resolution
  114.     without rebooting your system.

  140.     DirectDraw/Direct3D support
  141.  
  142.     The display driver do support DirectDraw/Direct3D, but to use
  143.     it in an application, you must install DirectDraw/Direct3D.
  144.     The Microsoft DirectDraw/Direct3D components are not included
  145.     in the standard retail version of Windows 95. You need an
  146.     installation of DirectX II/III.
  147.  
  148.     To install DirectDraw/Direct3D start the program DXSETUP in
  149.         the directory \ELSAWARE\DDRAW\DIRECTX on the ELSA CD.

  156.     This section documents known anomalies or problems and gives
  157.     hints on work arounds.

  159.     There occur misrepresentation of colors and displays by viewing
  160.     MPEG files with ELSAmotion.
