  29. Playing the demo
  30. ================
  31. To play the demo run "cueclub.exe" from within the "cueclub" folder.

  33. The game will load and then present you with a login screen. Enter your details here - they will be used in the virtual chat room.

  35. You can play a game of "Speed ball" or "8 ball" for a maximum of 90 seconds, after which the demo will time-out and return to the splash screen.

You may also go into the "Saloon bar" virtual chat room for a game of 8 ball. All the other chat rooms have been disabled. You will notice that your reputation as a player is only "1 star" and so you will only be able to get games with similarly ranked opponents (or lower). This is because you are new to the chat room and have yet to win games to build up your reputation. Type text into the dialogue box at the top and select the category of your message from one of the 6 buttons at the top (request game, accept game, decline game, greet, chat, insult) - then choose the recipient for the message from the list. All posts sent to you will have a finger pointing next to them. When the "accept game" button begins to flash this means someone wants to play a game with you. Click on this button to see who is making the offer, then click on their entry to play them.

Please note that this is a VERY small sample of the game. The full version of CueClub contains many, many more features not shown in this demo! Although the demo has been well tested, we cannot guarantee that it is 100% bug-free. We apologise in advance for any problems you encounter, and please forward and bugs to the email address below.
