  9. The AA-9 is one of the
  10. largest   anti-aircraft 
  11. missiles   ever 
  12. produced.   Guided by a
  13. large semi-active radar 
  14. homing (or perhaps
  15. active homing) system, 
  16. it  is  used  mainly  by 
  17. the MiG-31  Foxhound.  
  18. Like the Phoenix, this
  19. missile  is  intended 
  20. for  stand-off  inter-
  21. ception  and  boasts
  22. look-down,   shoot-
  23. down capability. This 
  24. allows  the  Amos  to
  25. track  and  intercept 
  26. low-flying   targets.
