THUNDERHAWK 2 : FIRESTORM
PLAYABLE WORK-IN-PROGRESS DEMO
------------------------------
This is a demo version, and is very very much unfinished. (actualy its
only 4 days of code conversion form the PlayStation version)
It plays reasonably on a Pentium-90. Many optimisations are yet to be added.
The virtual cockpit and the various instruments are not yet visible.
The game control keys are fixed at the moment:-
Up: Move forward
Down: Move backward
Left: Move left
Right: Move right
Left Ctrl: Fire
Left Alt: Special (u/d change altitude, l/r rotate)
Tab: Change view: virtual cockpit->no cockpit->external view
Q: Go up
A: Go down
S: Change weapon
Z: Look left in virtual cockpit
X: Look right in virtual cockpit
Z+X: Look straight ahead in virtual cockpit
F1/F2/F3: Gouraud shaded/interpolated/unshaded floor
F4/F5: Control calculation of flat floor in distance
Pause: Pause
Esc: Exit from game
Front end keys:
Up/Down/Left/Right: Move about
Space: Select
Esc: Cancel
Return: Special
To exit to DOS, press and hold Return then Space when selecting OK on the
weapons screen. This will exit the game loop and allow you to press Esc to
exit the game.
Please ignore the controls menu, as it is currently set up for a PSX!
The sound setup program is not very good, we are trying to get a better
version from our sound library supplier. You need to run SETUP.EXE before
running TH2.EXE. It will write a configuration file, so you need to install
TH2 on your hard disk. If you have a Sound Blaster 16, the sound should work
but you might need to change the DMA setting from the default.
