  1. IMPORTANT - LICENCE AND LIMITED WARRANTY - READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT

  3. DO NOT INSTALL THE COMPUTER PROGRAM CONTAINED IN THIS PRODUCT UNTIL YOU HAVE READ AND

  5. UNDERSTOOD ALL THE TERMS OF THE LICENCE AND LIMITED WARRANTY SET OUT BELOW.

  11. SHOULD RETURN THIS PRODUCT UNUSED (WITH THE BOX AND OTHER MATERIALS) TO THE POINT OF

  13. PURCHASE FOR A REFUND.

  18.     You will be responsible for all telephone charges.

  20. 2.     Eidos Interactive Plc licenses you to use this product for your own
  21. private and domestic use.  You may either (a) make one copy of the software
  22. program for back-up or archival purposes provided such copy includes all
  23. copyright notices and other information on the original disk(s) or (b) transfer
  24. the software program to your hard disk provided the original disk is kept
  25. by you solely for back-up or archival purposes.  All other rights are reserved
  26. in full.

  28. 3.    The following restrictions shall apply to your licence:
  29.  
  30. -    you will not use this product on more than one computer or terminal at any
  31. one time
  32.  
  33. -    you will not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, adapt,
  34. modify or otherwise alter the product in whole or in part nor attempt to do
  35. any of the above under any circumstances unless and to the extent permitted
  36. to do so by applicable law
  37.  
  38. -    you will not make any further copies in any way whatsoever
  39.  
  40. -    you will not sell, rent, lend, sub-license or otherwise exploit for profit
  41. or otherwise this product (in whole or in part) but you may give away the
  42. entire product provided you do not keep any copies of the software program
  43. or the accompanying materials; and
  44.  
  45. -    you will not use the product or any part of it to develop, design and/or
  46. create any programs or other materials based in whole or in part on this product.

  49. 4.    LIMITED WARRANTY    
  50.  
  51. Eidos Interactive Ltd warrants to the original purchaser of this product that
  52. the physical medium on which the software program in this product is recorded
  53. will under normal use and conditions be free from material defects in
  54. materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date
  55.  of purchase.   The entire liability of Eidos Interactive Ltd under the
  56. limited warranty set out above will be at its sole option either to repair or
  57.  to replace free of charge the product provided you return it in its original
  58. condition to the point of purchase with a copy of your receipt.
  59. Eidos will pay the postage costs of sending a replacement product to you.
  60.  
  61. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.

  63. SUBJECT TO THE LIMITED WARRANTY ABOVE, THIS PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT 
  64.  
  65. WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EIDOS 
  66.  
  67. INTERACTIVE LTD FURTHER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES (INCLUDING,WITHOUT LIMITATION, 
  68.  
  69. THOSE IMPLIED BY LAW, STATUTE, CUSTOM OR OTHERWISE) RELATING TO MERCHANTABILITY, 
  70.  
  71. SATISFACTORY QUALITY, AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IN RESPECT OF THE PRODUCT.

  73. IN ADDITION, EIDOS INTERACTIVE LTD EXCLUDES, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 
  74.  
  75. ITS LIABILITY HOWSOEVER ARISING IN RESPECT OF ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, COSTS, CLAIMS OR EXPENSES HOWSOEVER 
  76.  
  77. ARISING SUSTAINED OR INCURRED BY YOU AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OR ATTEMPTED USE OF THIS PRODUCT.

  79. IN PARTICULAR, EIDOS INTERACTIVE LTD SHALL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, 
  80.  
  81. INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR SIMILAR DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, 
  82.  
  83. DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFIT, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) HOWSOEVER 
  84.  
  85. ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR ATTEMPTED USE OF THIS PRODUCT.  IN ANY EVENT THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF 
  86.  
  87. EIDOS INTERACTIVE LTD TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU.
  88.  
  89. The above exclusions shall not apply to any liability in negligence for death
  90. or personal injury.
  91.  
  92. 4.    Eidos Interactive Ltd reserves the right to make changes and improvements
  93. to this product at any time and without notice.
