No users are setup upon first installation. In the User Logon screen, click New User and the New User Wizard will lead you through the entire process of creating a new user profile.
Based on your family or business needs, Navaho Lock with Voice lets you create as many user profiles as you wish.
You can add as many files and documents as you need to your encrypted Navaho Lock with Voice package. Simply select the file(s) from Navaho Explorer and drag and drop them in the Drop area.
You can change the size of any window in Navaho Lock with Voice. Move the mouse cursor over the left, right, or bottom border of any window and you will see the cursor change to a double-sided arrow. Depressing the left mouse button drag the border to the new desired size.
If you are a resident of the USA or Canada and have only the default Cryptographic Service Provider of RC2 and RC4, click the Help Menu and select Get Microsoft 168 bit encryption or visit the CyPost web site www.cypost.com for download instructions for the Enhanced Cryptographic Service Provider which permits additional encryption levels of 56, 112, 128, and 168-bit.
You can encrypt and compress any files you wish to local storage on your hard drive or floppy by clicking Save.
You can create your own directories in the Drop area. Simply click on the right mouse button while in the Drop area and choose Create directory from the Drop area popup menu. This will bring up a New Directory Dialog box. Enter the name for the new directory here and click on the OK button or the Enter key.

You can remove any file in the Drop area by simply highlighting the file to be deleted, and clicking Delete.
To call up a previously saved Address Book click on Address Book and choose the Restore from Backup command.
You can move whole directories by selecting them in Navaho Explorer, hold down the left mouse button and drag the directory into the Drop area.
Right clicking the mouse button while over any file in the Drop Area brings up a quick assistant menu.
When using Navaho Lock with Voice users in the United States or Canada can choose the Enhanced Cryptographic Service provider and an encryption cipher of 168 bits for the highest level of security. Just make sure the recipient is capable of opening attachments encrypted using algorithms above 40 bits.
To send email unencrypted turn Encryption off by deselecting the Encrypt option in the Actions menu.
You can move multiple files out of the Drop area by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on the files with the left mouse button and moving them to their new location.
You may edit any file in the Drop area by double clicking on it or by highlighting it and right clicking the mouse and choosing Open.
You can delete entire directories in the Drop area by highlighting the directory and choosing Delete.
To save your Address Book click on the menu Address Book and choose the Save & Backup command.
To Open a directory in the Drop area highlight the directory in question and double click on it. The directory will open showing all the files or subdirectories it contains. You can navigate back by either using the Back button or right clicking the mouse and choosing "Back to Root" if you are nested a few directories down.
Use the Back button as a navigational tool while exploring the various directories you have dragged and dropped into the Drop area or directories you have created inside of the Drop area.
The default setting for Navaho Lock with Voice is with the Encryption feature on. You can send any number of packages either encrypted or unencrypted by checking and unchecking the Encrypt feature in the Actions menu.
You can click the Logoff button to close your current session inside of Navaho Lock with without closing the program.
You can press the Cancel button to cancel operations in the Drop area after you make a mistake.
To save your address book to a floppy disk for portability click on Address Book and select Save/Backup. You can then take the encrypted data on a floppy disk with you to use on another computer running Navaho Lock with Voice, regardless of where they are in the world (keeping in mind allowable encryption strengths).
Use the menu File command to see a list of the most recently worked on packages.
When entering text in the Message Area right click the mouse button to bring up a menu of useful actions including cut, copy and paste.
Click on the top of Navaho Explorer to drag it to a new location. Double clicking on its title will send it back to its last docked position.
To add new contacts, email addresses, or secret key pass phrases click the Address Book, choose Open, and click on New/Modify.
You can send Navaho Lock with Voice packages to multiple users by highlighting all the people you want to send the package to and hitting Send.
To add a new contact click on To and select Add. Now enter your new contact by filling in the appropriate fields: Name, Email, and Secret Code. Choose the Cryptographic Service Provider you wish to use (if you have more than one) and then choose the security level.
For added security when Navaho Lock with Voice is left idle set the "Inactivity Time for Log Off" to 5 minutes. To do this click on View, selct Options and choose 5 minutes. When the timer goes off the Navaho Lock with Voice package you are working on will be minimized requiring your password to reactivate it.
To update your contacts click on Address Book, scroll to open, and choose the Update button. This feature is used to change passwords, email addresses, and your choice of encryption algorithms.
Use combinations of numbers and letters in your passphrases. Remember Navaho Lock stores the passwords you use with others--- so even if it is a difficult string to type in, it only has to be done once at both sites. This remains the case until you and the other party feels it is time to change the password.
To maximize the security of your e-Communications download the enhanced Cryptographic Service Provider from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/128bit/intro.htm. Once you have downloaded the file, double-click the application and you will get access of up to 168 bit secret key encryption.
