This sensor shows whether your Norton AntiVirus definitions are current. Virus definitions enable Norton AntiVirus to identify and remove viruses. If you are connected to a modem or to the Internet, this sensor can use Symantec's LiveUpdate technology to get new virus definitions automatically when they become available.
When the sensor turns red, you should allow it to check for new virus definitions.
