Desktop Screen Saver uses your currently selected desktop picture as the screen saver picture.
It will display your desktop picture after your Mac has been idle for awhile.
If you have Desktop Pictures set to display a different picture each time you re-start your Mac, Desktop Screen Saver will make a slide show from all of the pictures.
Features
• Option to set the Screen Saver Activation time (how much idle time before screen saver activates).
• Option to set the Slide Show Timing (time to wait between pictures).
• Easy to set up. Uses the current picture setting in the Desktop Pictures Control Panel.
• Uses JPEGView to display pictures.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Version 2 of Desktop Screen Saver only works with OS 8.5 or later.
Version 1 only works with OS 8 or OS 8.1
(That's because Apple changed their method of displaying desktop pictures with OS 8.5.
OS 8.5 uses the Appearance control panel to select a desktop picture and OS 8.0 and 8.1 used the Desktop Pictures Control Panel.)

AppleScript Error -1757 When Attempting To Run Desktop Screen Saver
This error is caused by AppleScript being installed improperly. It cannot find the Dialect file.
This can happen if you install some new software and it inappropriately installs an older version of AppleScript. Note that Desktop Screen Saver does not install any AppleScript files. This information is provided as a courtesy since it can be a real pain to figure out which files belong where.
Location of AppleScript files.
OS 8.5
You should have a Scripting Additions folder in your System Folder.
You should also have a Dialects folder inside of the Scripting Additions folder.
If you are path-minded:
Hard Drive:System Folder:Scripting Additions:Dialects
Inside of the Dialects folder is your language dialect file (usually English Dialect).
Desktop Screen Saver needs this dialect file or it could get -1757 error.
In your Extensions folder you should have the AppleScript Extension (version 1.3 or later) and AppleScriptLib (version 1.2.2 or later).
