  135. The Amsys Widget plug-in for FileMaker Pro 4  gives FileMaker several new functions. These are Widgt-Find_Replace, Widgt-Char_Ascii, Widgt-Ascii_Char, Widgt-Y2K, Widgt-Set_File, Widgt-Set_Path, Widgt-Write_File and Widgt-Append_File.

  137. To install Amsys Widget quit FileMaker Pro 4 and drag Amsys Widget to the FileMaker Extensions folder. Then relaunch FileMaker. To check that  Amsys Widget has been
  138.  enabled select Preferences-Application  from the Edit menu. This will bring up the Application Preferences dialog box. Click on General and a pop menu will appear where you can select Plug-Ins. Make sure that the check box by Amsys Widget is checked.

  155. Widgt-Write_File  is used to write text to a file. If a file of the name specified exists already it will be overwritten.

  367. Widgt-Find_Replace has 2 preference options which can be accessed when you configure the plug-in.
  368. Because Widgt-Find_Replace uses a comma as its delimiter by default this means that you cannot find and replace commas. To overcome this you can set the delimiter you wish to use in the above preference box.
