  9. XMLFox Advance is designed for 32-bit operating systems and works under 
  10. the .NET Framework.
  11.  
  12. The XMLFox Advance runs on:
  13. - Microsoft Windows NTr 4.0 (SP 6a required)
  14. - Microsoft Windows 2000 (SP2 Recommended)
  15. - Microsoft Windows XP Professional
  16. - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
  17. (Windows 95/98/ME and Windows 3.1 systems are not supported)

  19. To author with XMLFox Advance, your system should be equipped with 
  20. the following:
  21. Pentium 90 MHz (minimum) or faster (recommended)
  22. 32 MB RAM (minimum) or more (96 MB or more recommended)
  23. 50 MB free disk space (minimum) or more

  26. Installation

  29. Installation of XMLFox Advance includes the following three steps:

  31. 1. Install .NET Framework
  32.  
  33. The XMLFox Advance is written for .NET Framework 1.0. 
  34. Before launch XMLFox Advance setup package you need to install on your computer 
  35. the .NET Framework redistributable package Dotnetfx.exe. It is available as a 
  36. stand-alone executable file. As a result of downloading you will receive a file
  37. named Dotnetfx.exe. Use Dotnetfx.exe for deployment purposes.

  42. Note that administrator privileges are required to install Dotnetfx.exe. If you 
  43. have previously installed the .NET Framework SDK or Microsoft Visual Studio 
  44. .NET, you do not need to install Dotnetfx.exe.

  46. 2. Install Data Access Components
  47.  
  48. After downloading and installing the Dotnetfx.exe, which contains .NET Framework 
  49. redistributable package, you will need to install mdac_typ.exe. Since the XMLFox 
  50. Advance uses a database, then DLL's and other files supporting ADO, ODBC, OLE,
  51. etc., must also be installed.

  53. Download mdac_typ.exe from:

  57. Download this file to any folder on your hard drive. Once downloaded double-click
  58. the mdac_typ.exe file to commence installation.

  60. 3. Install XMLFox Advance

  62. Finally, after installing mdac_typ.exe, which contains MDAC 2.7 files, 
  63. you will need to install XMLFox Advance.

  65. Launch Setup.exe from XMLFox Advance package.

  68. XMLFox Advance is "Shareware". This means that we have made the software 
  69. available to you for the trial. It is fully functional but  you can  use 
  70. it for limited time only.  And then,  if you decide to buy the software,
