By default, you can toggle to viewer mode by clicking the Viewer tab at bottom. However, the viewer can be docked to different locations. Click the "Dockable" button located on the viewer toolbar to switch position.
Use the Image Browser window to view image thumnails. From this window, Images can also be inserted into the edit window.
You can assign HTML tags or JavaScript code to Custom Buttons. You'll be able to add the code using an icon or a shortcut key. Click on the Custom tab to create a Custom Button.

The ½e╗ logo found in some dialog boxes indicate that the referred command is a Microsoft Internet Explorer extension and the ½n╗ logo is a Netscape extension.
Most of the HTML tags can be easily re-edited. To do so, simply select the HTML tag and click on the appropriate command or, place the cursor at the beginning of the tag and use the context menu.
You can maximize the internal browser at startup by selecting this feature in the menu Options | General Preference | Environment.
To speed up the design of your Web pages, you can use the commands found in the context menu. This menu is accessible by placing the pointer inside the edit window and pressing the right mouse button.
The context menu contains the commands "Quick Image" and "Quick External link". These commands are used to rapidly insert an image or an external link without having to use a detailed menu to enter attributes.
You can use AceHTML's shortcuts to perform different steps or insert HTML commands that you frequently use. The complete shortcut list is found in the general help file.
You can change the background color of the edit window as well as the size, color and type of font. These options can be changed from the menu Options | Editor Preferences | Highlighting.
You can undo or redo previous actions by pressing CTRL-Z or SHIFT-CTRL-Z. You can also access these options using the tool bar or the main menu.
You don't have to save your HTML file before you launch your external browser. You can create a temporary file by disabling the option "You must save the HTML file to see the changes in the browser" in the Options | General Preferences | Environment.
AceHTML can search your drives automatically for Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape, by pressing the "Search" button found under Options | General Preferences | Environment.
You can change the screen resolution of the internal browser in order to make sure that your page will be correctly displayed in different screen resolutions.
In order to avoid references to files contained in different folders, you can select the option "Automatic copy of referred files directly into current directory" from the menu Options | General Preferences | Environment.
The Evaluate Document feature found under the Syntax menu checks the size of your document and it includes all links, images and other external references. A yellow bulb indicates that the document has no broken links, while a red bulb alerts you to the fact that there is one or more broken links.
The verification of HTML syntax uses a verification databases that can be modified using the menu Syntax | Reference Editor.
If you frequently use the same type of document, you can save time by creating your own page template. You can do this from the menu File | New and pressing the "New" button.
Use File Manager to organize the files in your site. File Manager is also useful to insert hypertext links and images in your HTML documents.
Save your desktop settings. Use the menu View | Desktops features or the Desktop icons on the tool bar. you can also choose the feature to automatically save your desktop settings from the General Preferences | Environment options.
With AceHTML you can use a browser other than Internet Explorer or Netscape to view your Web pages. Simply indicate the browser you wish to use, for example, Opera, on the General Preferences menu.
Note that you can edit text found in any cell in a table. In the Table window, place the cursor in the cell you want to edit. Use the context menu and click on the Edit cell command. An edit window is displayed. You then have access to commands found under the Common and Specialized tabs.
