To sort the playlist, click one of the column headers, such as "Artist" or "Song Name". The files will be sorted based on the fields defined within the files' ID3 tags. If no ID3 tags are present, you can still sort the playlist based on filename information.

Note that you can click on multiple columns to sort the playlist by multiple fields. Click the least relevant column first, then prioritize any number of columns by clicking on them in ascending order. Click on the primary sort column last.

To sort any column in descending or ascending order, click on the column header twice. You will notice the small arrow in the column header change direction. This arrow denotes that the column is sorted in order (down) or reverse order (up).

You can re-order the columns in the playlist window by dragging the column headers to different positions. Keep in mind that this action alone will not change the order of your playlist. It will simply change the way in which the playlist is displayed.

To change which columns are displayed within the playlist, go to the Setup screen and select Preferences -> Playlist. In this menu, you can toggle the displayed columns by checking or unchecking them.
