  60. Before installing Sygate Personal Firewall, it is recommended that
  61. you close all other applications that may be accessing your modem
  62. drivers or network.

  65. IMPORTANT: For ISDN via Ethernet, DSL, cable modem, you need to
  66. verify that these devices can connect to your computer through
  67. Ethernet. DirecPC users, please see the Section 5, entitled
  68. "Known Issues".

  79. There is a timeout discrepancy between the DirecPC and the Sygate
  80. Personal Firewall services. Users who utilize DirecPC should do the
  81. following to insure smooth operation - 
  82.  
  83. 1. After installing Sygate Personal Firewall, open DirecPC. 
  84.  
  85. 2. When the Sygate Personal Firewall pop-up message asks if you wish
  86. to allow DirecPC access to your network, place a check in the
  87. "Remember my answer and don't ask me again for this application"
  88. check box and click "Yes".

  90. 3. Close DirecPC and open again.

  97. In order receive messages, in Winpopup while Sygate Personal Firewall is
  98. running, you must enable "Allow others to share my files" from the Options

  114. 5. KNOWN ISSUES
  115. ====================================

  117. The following are known issues with this version of Sygate Personal
  118. Firewall 5.6. They will be addressed or fixed in later versions of
  119. this product:
  120.  
  121. * User will get continue to get frequent prompts even when
  122.   "Auto Allow Known DLLs" is enabled.
  123.  
  124. * If the host PC system has multiple network protocol drivers installed,
  125.   Sygate Personal Firewall may have significant performance impact.
  126.  
  127. * The "Block Traffic When Service Is Not Running" selection may prevent
  128.   the host PC from receiving IP address from DHCP server.
  129.  
  130. * Sygate Personal Firewall does not support Windows XP fast switch feature.
  131.  
  132. * Double click on Sygate Personal Firewall system tray icon will accidentally 
  133.   launch the log viewer.
  134.  
  135. * Sygate Personal Firewall Help does not list any available printers 
  136.   for printing.
  137.  
  138. * Sygate Personal Firewall is not compatible with BlackIce Firewall.
  139.  
  140. * Clicking "Managed Firewall Info..." or "Get Internet Sharing" will trigger
  141.   Internet Connection Wizard.

  143. * Activate Stealth Mode Browsing cause WEB pages and RealAudio to fail

  145. * Sygate Personal Firewall may prevent PocketPC to synchronize with PC 
  146.   infrared port.
