  66.     <p>The <code class="directive">MaxRequestsPerThread</code> directive sets
  67.     the limit on the number of requests that an individual server thread
  68.     will handle. After <code class="directive">MaxRequestsPerThread</code>
  69.     requests, the thread will die. If <code class="directive">MaxRequestsPerThread</code> is <code>0</code>, then the thread
  70.     will never expire.</p>

  72.     <p>Setting <code class="directive">MaxRequestsPerThread</code> to a
  73.     non-zero limit has two beneficial effects:</p>
  74.  
  75.     <ul>
  76.       <li>it limits the amount of memory that a thread can consume
  77.       by (accidental) memory leakage;</li>
  78.  
  79.       <li>by giving threads a finite lifetime, it helps reduce
  80.       the number of threads when the server load reduces.</li>
