  12. 1. Introduction
  13.     You can try to use the TRIAL version of Sodat Password Manager (SPM). 
  14. The SPM give more security by using of your computer. Everybody has stored 
  15. own information in the hard disk, which is secret. But anybody can work 
  16. with your computer and can see your secret information. SPM is a very simple
  17. program which secures your information. When you want to work with computer,
  18. you must know the password.

  20. 2. Specification of SPM and security properities
  21.     How does SPM work? SPM is installed in the bootstrap of hard disk.
  22. When you turn the computer on and operation system begin to load, you 
  23. must enter the password. Operation system can be loaded only from the 
  24. bootstrap of hard disk, where is SPM installed. Operation system can not be
  25. loaded from diskette, other hard disk or CD-ROM. SPM secures loading of 
  26. operation system from these drives.

  28. 3. Properities of TRIAL version
  29.     TRIAL version has the same properities as a retail version of SPM
  30. except for one universal password which makes loading of operation 
  31. system possible. You can try to set your own password but when you forget
  32. your password, you can use the universal password which is set by the 
  33. producer of SPM software. This function has only TRIAL version.

  37. 4. Instructions for using SPM
  38.     
  39. Installation:    Run the SPM program from installation diskette or from
  40.         directory where is SPM stored. The SPM is guide by 
  41.         installation. First you must enter a name of backup file.
  42.         The backup file is file where is stored original bootstrap.
  43.         You can need this file by fault of your hard disk. When is
  44.         SPM finished, you can set password and can active SPM in
  45.         the bootstrap.

  47. Activation of SPM:
  48.         Restart your computer. During loading of operation system
  49.         press <F9> key for setup manager of SPM. Set your own
  50.         password and active SPM by Install choice. By next loading
  51.         of operation system you must enter password.

  53. Deactivation of SPM:
  54.         Enter password and then press <F9> key for setup manager of
  55.         SPM. Deactive SPM by Uninstall choice and restart computer.

  57. Change password:
  58.         A password can you changed by Set password choice of setup 
  59.         manager. When you forgot password, use universal password.
  60.         It can use only in TRIAL version.

  62. Remove all parts of SPM from your hard disk:
  63.         Run the SPM program and remove parts of the SPM. You can 
  64.         can remove these parts manualy. Delete the SPMLOAD.EXE file
  65.         from your WINDOWS 95 directory and remove line with command
  66.         "load=SPMLOAD.EXE".

  68. Loading of operation system from diskette:
  69.         You can load operation system from SPM install diskete only
  70.         when is the SPM active. When is a fault of bootstrap of hard
  71.         disk, load operation system from install diskette and use
  72.         the OPRAV.EXE program. The OPRAV.EXE program uninstall the 
  73.         SPM from bootstrap by two method. First - it is standard 
  74.         method which return original bootstrap or second - which
  75.         return bootstrap from backup file.

  77. 5. Information for distributors
  78.     The SODAT software company provides this program to sellers of 
  79. notebooks. Special prices are provided to sellers of notebooks.
