  3. * What is Dev-Pascal ?

  5. Dev-Pascal is a full-featured integrated development 
  6. environment (IDE), which is able to create Windows 
  7. or console-based Win32 Pascal programs using the Free 
  8. Pascal or GNU Pascal compiler systems.

  12. Dev-Pascal is distributed under the GNU General Public 
  13. License (see Copying.txt). It is freely distributable.

  15. * Installing :

  17. Be sure to uninstall any previous version of Dev-Pascal 
  18. before installing.

  20. With the DevPas-only package (no compiler), just unzip
  21. the archive into a directory of your choice. Where DevPas
  22. is bundled with a compiler, it is normally distributed as
  23. a self-extracting executable installer. In this case, just 
  24. run the executable installer and follow the instructions.

  26. If you are missing WININET.DLL on your Windows 95 system, 
  27. you can download it at: http://www.rocketdownload.com/supfiles.htm

  31. You will find help in the Help menu of Dev-Pascal. There are 
  32. some help files for you to learn how to use it. If you 
  33. encounter a problem, you can take a look at the Dev-Pascal 
  34. "About" box.
