- "The General" is a turn-by-turn military economic strategy. Naturally, you
- are the ruler (king, president) of your country.
- The objective is to conquer the world, and destroy all the other countries.
-
- In order to accompish the objective you will need to deal with the issues of
- economy, science and military aggression against other countries. You will
- hire scientists, recruit soldiers and generals. In any case, if you will be
- passive and will not try to conquer others, they will conquer you.
- á
- Two, three, or more people can play the game - it can have up to 20
- participants. It is interesting to play with friends as players do not see
- the achievements of the others. And computer plays so well that sometimes it
- is very difficult to guess, which of the players are human. This introduces an
- interesting element into the game, as you are not only trying to win, but
- also to deduce which state is governed by your friend (it is him who is the
- real opponent!).
- á
- The game supports all connection modes: local network (LAN), a modem, or
- Internet. It is possible for several players to play on one computer
- (Hot-Seat mode).
- There is a timer in the game, so that no one thinks too long! Three people
- can easily play the game through, with maximum settings, in 3-4 hours!
- á
- The game uses the mode of simultaneous turn processing, similar to that in
- "Master of Orion". This makes all players equal. The first player has no
- advantage.
-
- See the Help file for full information on the game.
-
