  18. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  19. before using, installing or distributing this software.  Unless
  20. you have a different license agreement signed by WinZip
  21. Computing, Inc. ("WCI") your use, distribution, or installation
  22. of WinZip indicates your acceptance of this agreement
  23. ("License").

  25. If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions of this
  26. License, then: (a) do not copy, install, distribute or use any
  27. copy of WinZip with which this License is included, and (b) in
  28. addition, if you paid WCI or an authorized WCI reseller for a
  29. package consisting of one or more copies of WinZip, you may
  30. return the complete package unused, within thirty (30) days
  31. after purchase, for a full refund of your payment.

  33. The terms and conditions of this License describe the permitted
  34. use and user(s) of each Licensed Copy of WinZip.  For purposes of
  35. this License, if you have a valid single-copy license, you have
  36. the right to use a single "Licensed Copy" of WinZip; if you or
  37. your organization has a valid multi-user license, then you or
  38. your organization have/has the right to use up to a number of
  39. "Licensed Copies" of WinZip equal to the number of copies
  40. indicated in the documents issued by WCI when granting the
  41. license.

  43. SCOPE OF LICENSE

  45. Each Licensed Copy of WinZip may either be used by a single
  46. person who uses the software personally on one or more computers,
  47. or installed on a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by
  48. multiple people, but not both. This is not a concurrent use
  49. license.

  51. Each Licensed Copy may be accessed through a network, provided
  52. that you have purchased rights to use a Licensed Copy for each
  53. workstation that will access WinZip through the network.  For
  54. instance, if 8 different workstations will access WinZip on the
  55. network, you must purchase rights to use 8 Licensed Copies of
  56. WinZip, regardless of whether the 8 workstations will access
  57. WinZip at different times or concurrently.

  59. Each Licensed Copy of WinZip includes WinZip Self-Extractor
  60. Personal Edition, which may be used to create an unlimited number
  61. of freely distributable, royalty-free self-extracting Zip files.
  62. These self-extracting Zip files contain, among other things, a
  63. portion of WinZip Self-Extractor Personal Edition, including
  64. copyrighted software, proprietary notices, and identifying
  65. information (the "Extraction Software"). You may not alter or
  66. modify the Extraction Software, nor permit anyone else to do so.

  68. All rights of any kind in WinZip which are not expressly granted
  69. in this License are entirely and exclusively reserved to and by
  70. WCI.  You may not rent, lease, modify, translate, reverse
  71. engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works
  72. based on, WinZip, nor permit anyone else to do so. You may not
  73. make access to WinZip available to others in connection with a
  74. service bureau, application service provider, or similar
  75. business, nor permit anyone else to do so.

  82. particular, there is no warranty for the optional virus scanning
  83. feature. (WinZip does not scan for viruses, it simply runs
  84. external programs that claim to perform this function.)   You
  85. acknowledge that good data processing procedure dictates that any
  86. program, including WinZip, must be thoroughly tested with
  87. non-critical data before there is any reliance on it, and you
  88. hereby assume the entire risk of all use of the copies of WinZip
  89. covered by this License.  THIS DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY CONSTITUTES

  114. rules.  Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for all matters relating
  115. to this License shall be in courts and fora located in the State
  116. of Connecticut, and you consent to such jurisdiction and venue.
  117. There are no third party beneficiaries of any promises,
  118. obligations or representations made by WCI herein.    Any waiver
  119. by WCI of any violation of this License by you shall not
  120. constitute, nor contribute to, a waiver by WCI of any other or
  121. future violation of the same provision, or any other provision,
  122. of this License.

  148. of WinZip, on one (1) computer or workstation, for evaluation
  149. purposes without charge for a period of 21 days.  If you use this
  150. software after the 21 day evaluation period a registration fee of
  151. $29 is required.  Payments must be in US dollars drawn on a US
  152. bank, and should be sent to WinZip Computing, Inc., P.O. Box 540,

  157. Unregistered use of WinZip after the 21-day evaluation period is
  158. in violation of U.S. and international copyright laws.

  163.         personally to anyone, except for the purpose of extending
  164.         their 21 day evaluation period;

  167.         WinZip, if done exclusively through electronic channels;

  170.     c)  make as many exact copies of this evaluation version of
  171.         WinZip as you wish, for purposes of distribution as

  187. so. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE YOU LICENSED TO DISTRIBUTE
