  32. <p><strong>Amaya</strong> utiliza diferentes ficheros de configuraci≤n para
  33. dar valores iniciales a parßmetros globales, dißlogos, atajos, tama±o y
  34. posici≤n de ventanas, hojas de estilo del usuario, etc. Se pueden cambiar la
  35. mayorφa de los parßmetros de configuraci≤n por medio de men·s de preferencias
  36. especφficos. Este documento rese±a el directorio de configuraci≤n y archivo
  37. <a href="#Conventions">convenciones</a>, dando una panorßmica de los
  38. diferentes <a href="#preferences">men·s de preferencias</a>, y da informaci≤n
  39. especφfica sobre c≤mo configurar los <a
  40. href="ShortCuts.html#shortcuts">atajos de teclado</a>.</p>

  42. <h3><a name="Conventions">Convenciones</a></h3>
  43.  
  44. <h4><a name="L979">El directorio <strong>Amaya/Config</strong></a></h4>
  45.  
  46. <p>Este es el directorio en el que estßn almacenados la mayorφa de los
  47. valores por omisi≤n y todos los mensajes de dißlogo. El directorio padre es
  48. en el que fue instalado Amaya.</p>
  49.  
  50. <h4><a name="AmayaHome">The AmayaHome Directory</a></h4>
  51.  
  52. <p>Amaya almacena las preferencias de usuario asφ como otros ficheros de
  53. configuraci≤n de usuario en un directorio al que llamamos
  54. <strong>AmayaHome</strong>. La siguiente tabla muestra d≤nde estß guardado
  55. este directorio en diferentes arquitecturas:</p>

  88. <p>El directorio <strong>AmayaHome</strong> se mantiene incluso cuando se
  89. instalan nuevas versiones de Amaya y puede contener los siguientes
  90. ficheros:</p>

  92.   <li><strong>thot.rc</strong> : las preferencias de usuario, cambiado a
  93.     travΘs del men· preferencias.</li>
  94.   <li><a name="keyboard"><strong>amaya.keyboard</strong></a> (Unix) o
  95.     <strong>amaya.kb</strong> (Windows) : este fichero define los <a
  96.     href="ShortCuts.html#shortcuts">atajos de teclado en Amaya</a>.</li>
  97.   <li><strong>amaya.css</strong> : contiene las hojas de estilo del
  98.   usuario.</li>
  99.   <li><strong>dictionary.DCT</strong> : Amaya proporciona un <a
  100.     href="SpellChecking.html#Spell">revisor gramatical multilingⁿe</a>. El
  101.     revisor gramatical trabaja por defecto con dos diccionarios: el
  102.     diccionario InglΘs y el diccionario FrancΘs (estos dos diccionarios
  103.     pueden descargarse desde <a
  104.     href="http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html">W3C servers</a>). Cuando
  105.     el usuario quiere incluir una nueva palabra, el revisor crea o actualiza
  106.     el "diccionario personal de usuario".</li>

  109. <p><strong>Nota:</strong> los ficheros
  110. <strong>amaya.keyboard/amaya.kb</strong> y <strong>amaya.css</strong> son
  111. descargados y lanzados al tiempo. Si los cambias, necesitarßs salir y volver
  112. a iniciar Amaya para que los tome en cuenta.</p>

  114. <h4><a name="AmayaTemp">El directorio AmayaTemp</a></h4>
  115.  
  116. <p>Amaya almacena todos los archivos temporales que se han creado durante su
  117. ejecuci≤n en un directorio al que llamamos <strong>AmayaTemp</strong>. La
  118. siguiente tabla muestra d≤nde estß almacenado este directorio en las diversas

  140. <p>Amaya crea ficheros en este directorio mientras navega por documentos
  141. remotos o imprime un documento. El cache se almacena en este directorio. El
  142. usuario puede cambiar tanto el AmayaTemp como el directorio para el cache por
  143. medio de los men·s <b>PreferenciasGenerales</b> y <b>Cache</b>.</p>
  144.  
  145. <p>Amaya intenta siempre eliminar todos los ficheros temporales que ha
  146. creado. Sin embargo, si Amaya falla los ficheros temporales no serßn
  147. borrados. Esto no tendrß impacto en las subsecuentes ejecuciones de Amaya.</p>

  149. <h3><a name="preferences">Men·s de preferencias</a></h3>
  150.  
  151. <p>Estos men·s se encuentran en el men· <b>Especial/Preferencias</b>. Hay
  152. disponibles nueve men·s diferentes de preferencias:: <a

  205.     <dd>Especifica el URI que Amaya cargarß cuando se inicie o cuando el
  206.       usuario presione el bot≤n para ir a la pßgina principal. Un ejemplo es
  207.       <code>http://www.w3.org</code>.<br />
  208.       <strong>Nota:</strong> Debe utilizarse un URI completo.<br />

  211.   <dt><strong><a name="Enable">Habilitar combinaci≤n de
  212.   teclas</a></strong></dt>
  213.     <dd>Habilita o deshabilita el mΘtodo de entrada opcional de combinaci≤n
  214.       de teclas. 
  215.       <p>El mΘtodo de entrada opcional (Activar combinaci≤n de teclas) se
  216.       base en una secuencia de dos teclas comenzando por el "acento" seguido
  217.       de la "letra". Por ejemplo, para obtener una 'ß' presiona primero '┤' y
  218.       luego la letra 'a'. Para obtener una '┤' tienes que presionar dos veces
  219.       '┤'.</p>
  220.       <p>Las secuencias de caracteres utilizadas por el mΘtodo de entrada de
  221.       combinaci≤n de teclas estßndar y el mΘtodo de entrada de combinaci≤n de
  222.       teclas opcional estßn resumidas en <a href="Keyboard.html#Keyboard">dos
  223.       tablas diferentes</a>.</p>

  231.   <dt><strong>Doble clic activa los enlaces</strong></dt>
  232.     <dd>Desde la primera versi≤n de Amaya los usuarios tienen que hacer doble
  233.       clic en un enlace para activarlo. Esto le permite a uno diferenciar
  234.       entre la edici≤n de un enlace o su activaci≤n. Desactivando esta opci≤n
  235.       puedes anular este comportamiento.

  238.   <dt><strong>Mostrar destinos</strong></dt>
  239.     <dd>Controla si los destinos de los enlaces deberφan ser mostrados.
  240.       Mostrar los destinos puede ser una ayuda cuando se quiere <a
  241.       href="Links.html#L245">crear nuevos enlaces</a>. Esta opci≤n se hace
  242.       efectiva inmediatamente en todas las vistas de formateo de documento.

  245.   <dt><strong>Numeraci≤n de secci≤n</strong></dt>
  246.     <dd><p>Controla si se activa o no la <a href="Numbering.html">numeraci≤n

  248.       las vistas de formateo de documento.</p>

  251.   <dt><strong>Exportar CR/LF</strong> (s≤lo en Windows)</dt>
  252.     <dd><p>Especifica si las lφneas en ficheros de salida terminan con un
  253.       CR/LF (formato DOS) o un simple LF (formato estßndar).</p>

  256.   <dt><strong>Activar FTP (experimental)</strong></dt>
  257.     <dd>Permite que Amaya siga URLs FTP. Esta capacidad es experimental no ha
  258.       sido a·n depurado. Por ejemplo, para URLs FTP que necesitan la
  259.       autentificaci≤n del usuario, la informaci≤n de autentificaci≤n no
  260.       siempre se memoriza. TambiΘn, presionando el bot≤n de parada durante
  261.       una descarga FTP puede "colgar" Amaya. A pesar de estos problemas hemos
  262.       a±adido esta opci≤n a Amaya, de manera que otros desarrolladores puedan
  263.       ayudarnos a depurarla mßs rßpidamente. Por omisi≤n esta opci≤n estß
  264.       deshabilitada.</dd>
  265.   <dt><strong>Teclas de acceso</strong></dt>
  266.     <dd>Especifica la tecla <b>Alt</b> o <b>Control</b> a ser usada en la
  267.       implantaci≤n del documento <a href="Browsing.html#Access">teclas de
  268.       acceso</a> o notifica que las teclas de acceso definidas en el
  269.       documento deben ser ignoradas.

  272.   <dt><strong>Men· Tama±o de fuente</strong> (s≤lo en plataforma Unix)</dt>
  273.     <dd>Especifica el tama±o de fuente para todos los men·s de Amaya. Esta
  274.       opci≤n s≤lo es tomada en cuenta en el momento de iniciar Amaya.

  278.   <dt><strong>Zoom de fuente</strong></dt>
  279.     <dd>Es posible hacer zoom para ampliar o disminuir la fuente, ventana de
  280.       documento a ventana de documento. Cada documento (texto e imßgenes)
  281.       presentado en una ventana ampliada se presentarß ampliado o reducido
  282.       respecto a su tama±o real de acuerdo al zoom elegido. <br />
  283.       Esta opci≤n te permite cambiar el tama±o de fuente por defecto en todas
  284.       las ventanas. Este cambio afecta s≤lo al tama±o de la fuente, pero no a
  285.       las imßgenes, y se verß reflejado inmediatamente en todas las ventanas
  286.       de documento abiertas.<br />

  288.     </dd>
  289.   <dt><strong>Retraso del doble clic</strong> (s≤lo plataforma Unix)</dt>
  290.     <dd>Esta opci≤n le permite a uno controlar el retraso por el que dos clic
  291.       del rat≤n se considerarßn un doble clic. Esta opci≤n s≤lo se toma en
  292.       cuenta en el momento del inicio.<br />

  294.     </dd>
  295.   <dt><strong>Idioma de dißlogo</strong></dt>
  296.     <dd>Especifica el idioma para todos los men·s y cuadros de dißlogo de
  297.       Amaya. El idioma por omisi≤n es InglΘs Americano (el valor
  298.       <code>en_US</code>). En este momento s≤lo hay disponibles tres idiomas
  299.       alternativos: InglΘs (<code>en</code>), FrancΘs (<code>fr</code>), y
  300.       Alemßn (<code>de</code>). When launched, Amaya loads dialogue files
  301.       according to the current dialogue language: en-, fr-, or de- files.
  302.       These dialogue files are located in the <strong>Amaya/config</strong>
  303.       directory. 
  304.       <p>En Thot, un documento se especifica de acuerdo a un esquema. En
  305.       Amaya, el cuadros de dißlogo que se presenta cuando se analiza
  306.       gramaticalmente un documento o cuando se salva bajo un esquema
  307.       especφfico, estßn localizados en el fichero
  308.       <strong>Amaya/amaya/HTML.<em>code</em></strong>, en el que la extensi≤n
  309.       <em>code</em> es una abreviaci≤n del idioma (ej.: <code>en</code> o
  310.       <code>fr</code>). Estos ficheros tienen 4 secciones:</p>
  311.       <ul>
  312.         <li><strong>extension:</strong> no utilizada por Amaya</li>
  313.         <li><strong>presentation:</strong> no utilizada por Amaya</li>
  314.         <li><strong>export</strong> : da el texto presentado para cada
  315.           esquema de traducci≤n (el comando "Guardar como..")</li>
  316.         <li><strong>translation</strong> : da el texto presentado para cada
  317.           elemento y atributo en la estructura Thot HTML.</li>
  318.       </ul>
  319.       <p>Es posible adaptar Amaya a los nuevos lenguajes ISO-Latin-1
  320.       escribiendo los correspondientes ficheros de dißlogo. Estos ficheros de
  321.       dißlogo tienen que estar localizados en el mismo directorio (ej.:
  322.       <strong>Amaya/config</strong>) y deben usar c≤digo correcto ISO 639
  323.       como prefijo (it- para Italiano, de- para Alemßn, etc.). TambiΘn tiene
  324.       que haberse creado el fichero especφfico HTML.code.</p>

  335.     <dd>HTTP/1.1 introduces new headers that allow to avoid the <a
  336.       href="http://www.w3.org/WinCom/NoMoreLostUpdates.html">lost updates</a>
  337.       problem when publishing. With this mechanism, you can detect conflicts
  338.       when two users are publishing the same document.</dd>
  339.   <dt><strong>Verify each PUT with a GET</strong></dt>
  340.     <dd>If you don't trust your server, this option tells Amaya to retrieve
  341.       each document as soon as it has been published and compare it with the
  342.       copy stored in your workstation. If the documents differ, Amaya will
  343.       warn you.</dd>
  344.   <dt><strong>Default name for URLs finishing in '/'</strong></dt>
  345.     <dd>An HTTP server usually associate the URLs that finish in '/' with a
  346.       default name, e.g., Overview.html. This option allows specifying the
  347.       default name that Amaya should use when publishing such a URL. Please
  348.       consult with your Webmaster to find out what the default name is for
  349.       your server.</dd>
  350.   <dt><strong>Allow automatic PUT redirections on these domains</strong></dt>
  351.     <dd>According to the HTTP/1.1 specification, PUT operations should not be
  352.       automatically redirected unless it can be confirmed by the user, since
  353.       this might change the conditions under which the request was issued.
  354.       You can avoid having Amaya prompt with a PUT redirection warning by
  355.       entering the name of the server's domain to which you are publishing.
  356.       You may specify one or more domains, each separated with a
  357.       <em>space</em>, e.g., <code>www.w3.org groucho.marx.edu</code>.</dd>

  360. <h4><a name="Cache">Cache preferences</a></h4>

  365. <p>Amaya provides a cache through libwww. By default, the cache is enabled by
  366. default and is stored in the <strong>AmayaTemp/libwww-cache</strong>
  367. directory. This menu also provides a <strong>Flush Cache</strong> button, for
  368. erasing the cache directory.</p>

  370.   <dt><strong>Enable cache</strong></dt>
  371.     <dd>Activates or deactivates the cache</dd>
  372.   <dt><strong>Cache protected documents</strong></dt>
  373.     <dd>By default, documents which are protected by a password are stored in
  374.       the cache. Use this flag to override this behavior.</dd>
  375.   <dt><strong>Disconnected mode</strong></dt>
  376.     <dd>Always retrieves documents from the cache.</dd>
  377.   <dt><strong>Ignore Expires: header</strong></dt>
  378.     <dd>Does not expire cache entries.</dd>
  379.   <dt><strong>Cache directory</strong></dt>
  380.     <dd>Gives the parent directory for the libwww-cache directory. Changing
  381.       this directory does not erase the contents of the previous one. You
  382.       will have to remove it yourself.<br />
  383.       <strong>Note:</strong> File protection mechanisms prevent the use of
  384.       NFS (Network File System) directories for the cache directory as NFS
  385.       allows reuse by multiple processes or users. Use a 'local' directory
  386.       for the cache.</dd>

  388.     <dd>Gives the size, in megabytes, of the cache repository.</dd>

  482. to do language negotiation, you can use this menu to enter your language
  483. preferences (first one has the highest priority). Try browsing this <a

  485. which exists in French, English, and Japanese versions. By changing the
  486. language negotiation to the ISO codes for the above languages
  487. (<strong>fr</strong>, <strong>en</strong>, or <strong>ja</strong> you can
  488. transparently request any of these versions.</p>

  490. <h4><a name="Profiles">Profiles</a></h4>

  495. <p>In Amaya, a <strong>profile</strong> defines the look and feel of the
  496. Amaya user interface. You can use profiles to hide or display the Amaya
  497. buttons and menus. This menu allows you to choose a given profile definition
  498. file and select among any of the profiles proposed by that file. Amaya
  499. proposes five editor profiles: <em>XHTML 1.0 Transitional (editor and
  500. mini-editor), XHTML 1.0 Strict, XHTML Basic, XHTML 1.1</em> and two browser
  501. profile: <em>XHTML 1.0 Transitional (browser and mini-browser)</em>, each one
  502. with different capabilities. Any profile change will be effective upon the
  503. next launch of Amaya.</p>

  505. <h4><a name="Templates">Templates</a></h4>

  510. <p>A <strong>template</strong> is a model, or skeleton, of a document that
  511. you may use for creating your own documents. This menu allows you to specify
  512. the URL of a template server, which may be either local to your station or
  513. stored in some server. You'll need to quit Amaya to validate this option.
  514. When you launch Amaya again., there will be a new <code>File/New/From
  515. Template</code> entry. Following this entry will open a new document showing
  516. you the results of browsing the template URL. The idea is that this page acts
  517. as an index to the templates available in your station or in the template
  518. server. A sample template server is available at <a
  519. href="http://cgi.w3.org/cgi-bin/createform.pl">http://cgi.w3.org/cgi-bin/createform.pl</a>.
