You can right click on the users to edit aswell with the function keys (F5,F6, etc) and the Admin menu.
Check for updates every once and a while to make sure you have the most recent version.
Right click the paths to add, edit, and delete your paths faster.
You can make GuildFTPd to interact with IRC using the IRC script GuildFTPd comes with in the installation directory under the scripts dir. For setup instructions, read the help file.
Spy on a user by clicking their online icon, and clicking the spy tab. This will show you everything the user is doing in real time.
You can create a file called 'index.txt' in a directory and add your comments about subdirectories and files. Inside the index.txt, type the Name of the DIR or FILE, a space, and the description. (ie. WINDOWS My windows directory) (ie2. movie.mpg One of my favs!)
If you would like to have an anonymous login, specify the name of anonymous and do not specify a password.
You can test your FTP by using your internet browser and surfing to ftp://<user>:<pass>@127.0.0.1:<port>
The "on hack" box in the AutoBan under the GuildFTPd Admin options lets you specify what you want to do with a person who tries to "hack" your FTP server.
Take a look at the server messages under the Admin menu to specify your own custom messages sent to users during different events. You can also make GuildFTPd perform different functions when an event occurs inside of the Events Manager

You can add users by the Admin menu, Function keys (ie. F3), or right clicking a group in the left hand side of GuildFTPd.

The Passive option (found in the Admin menu / Options selection) is only needed when you're using a firewall, DSL/Cable router or other Internet sharing method.
The log file can help you troubleshoot some problems. It's in your GuildFTPD installation directory and is named syslog.txt.
