This tool provides the secure login and data transfer capabilities of Secure Shell (SSH) in an application you can also use with Telnet and serial connections. It also includes the VCP utility for SSH2 encrypted file transfers.
SecureCRT gives you an encrypted SSH session with secure passwords and data encryption using ciphers up to 256 bits. SecureCRT connects to Windows, UNIX, and Linux SSH servers, including Van Dyke VShell for Windows.
For local applications using TCP/IP ports, SecureCRT can re-route data to an encrypted data channel between your local machine and an SSH server. The server forwards the data to other servers. For instance, SMTP, POP and IMAP can be secured with port forwarding.
Note: Applications that allow the end-user to encrypt their own data must meet the U.S. Bureau of Export Administration (BXA) requirements as described at http://www.bxa.doc.gov/Encryption/Default.htm.
