This download includes version 4.12 of the DivX codec. Version 4.12 fixes several encoding and decoding problems found in version 4.11, which introduced full optimizations for Intel Pentium 4 processors, enabling up to 78 percent faster encoding performance (compared to previous versions) and real-time software-based decoding of video at high-definition resolutions (1280x720 and up). Version 4.12 also adds complete support for future advanced DivX video features. This download also includes version 0.6.6 of The Playa player application.
