  3. MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSE

  6. 1.     GRANT OF LICENSE.  Microsoft grants to you the 
  7. right to use the Windows 95 CD-ROM Extras ("Software") 
  8. for your internal use only in conjunction with licensed 
  9. copies of  Microsoft Windows 95.
  10.  
  11. 2.    COPYRIGHT.  The Software is owned by Microsoft 
  12. or its suppliers and is protected by United States 
  13. copyright laws and international treaty provisions. 
  14. You may not remove the copyright notice from any copy 
  15. of the Software or any copy of the written materials, 
  16. if any, accompanying the Software.

  18. 3.    OTHER RESTRICTIONS.  This Microsoft License 
  19. Agreement is your proof of license to exercise the 
  20. rights granted herein and must be retained by you.  
  21. You may not rent or lease the Software.  You may not 
  22. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the 
  23. Software except to the extent that such limitation
  24. is expressly prohibited by applicable law.
  25.  
  26.     NO WARRANTY.  ANY USE BY YOU OF THE SOFTWARE IS 
  27. AT YOUR OWN RISK.  THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED FOR USE 
  28. ONLY WITH MICROSOFT WINDOWS 95 AND RELATED 
  29. APPLICATION SOFTWARE.  THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED FOR 
  30. USE "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.  TO THE 
  31. MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MICROSOFT AND ITS 
  32. SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER 
  33. EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, 
  34. IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR 
  35. A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. MICROSOFT IS NOT 
  36. OBLIGATED TO PROVIDE ANY UPDATES TO THE SOFTWARE.

  38.     LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.  MICROSOFT'S ENTIRE 
  39. LIABILITY AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT
  40. SHALL NOT EXCEED TEN DOLLARS (US$10.00).
  41.  
  42.     NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  To the
  43. maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no 
  44. event shall Microsoft or its suppliers be liable for 
  45. any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, 
  46. incidental, direct, indirect special and consequential 
  47. damages, damages for loss of business profits, 
  48. business interruption, loss of business information, 
  49. or other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use or 
  50. inability to use this Microsoft product, even if 
  51. Microsoft has been advised of the possibility of such 
  52. damages.  Because some states/countries do not allow 
  53. the exclusion or limitation of liability for 
  54. consequential or incidental damages, the above 
  55. limitation may not apply to you.

  57. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
  58.  
  59. The Software and documentation are provided with 
  60. RESTRICTED RIGHTS.  Use, duplication, or disclosure by 
  61. the Government is subject to restrictions as set forth 
  62. in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of The Rights in Technical 
  63. Data and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-
  64. 7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial 
  65. Computer Software - Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 
  66. 52.227-19, as applicable.  Manufacturer is Microsoft 
  67. Corporation/One Microsoft Way/Redmond, WA  98052-6399.

  69. If you acquired this product in the United States, 
  70. this Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of 
  71. Washington.
