  21. 1. Introduction

  23.     Timed FTP was created, because we didn't find any other program
  24.     wich does the same as Timed FTP. Timed FTP is created to transfer
  25.     files continuously with a timeinterval that user can self decide.
  26.      Timed FTP is an ecxellent program to transfer for example webcam-pictures
  27.     to your internet-server or transfer your html-file wich you are
  28.     configurin all the time. Timed FTP can also determine if the file
  29.     is changed and it will be uploaded only then - if the user want's so.

  32. 2. Disclaimer
  33.  
  34.     Timed FTP is freeware, so you may use it for free. Timed FTP 1.1 may
  35.     freely be distributed on any cd:s, internet-page or any other media.
  36.     If Timed FTP 1.1 is distributed it has to be non-changed.

  38.     We don't take any responsibility of the damages Timed FTP causes to the
  39.     user of this program or anyone else.

  42. 3. Installation
  43.  
  44.     Timed FTP don't need any additional installation, but it's recommended
  45.     that you extract the files from the archive to an own directory on your
  46.     harddrive.

  49. 4. How to use Timed FTP

  51.     4.1 Running Timed FTP for the first time
  52.  
  53.         You need to enter the host information at first, so click on the
  54.         host information -button. Enter the host where you want to transfer
  55.         your file, for example: ftp.pcuf.fi
  56.  
  57.         Then enter your user name and password in the correct fields and
  58.         click ok. The host address and user name will be saved for future
  59.         use also - you need only to give your password when you start
  60.         Timed FTP again.

  62.     4.2 To transfer a file emediately
  63.  
  64.         When you have entered your host information as told in step 4.1
  65.         you can transfer a file emediately by clicking on the choose file
  66.         button and choosing the file to upload. You can enter the directory
  67.         and file name also directly in the fields. Then only click on the
  68.         transfer now -button.
  69.  
  70.         To download a file from your ftp-server check the download-button
  71.         and then type in the filename and directory in the correct fields.

  73.     4.3 To use timed transfers
  74.  
  75.         When you have entered your host information as told in step 4.1
  76.         you can preset your file transfers. Click on the choose file -button
  77.         and choose your file to upload. You can enter the directory and file
  78.         name also directly in the fields. Then choose the time interval
  79.         for your transfer; enter the time and choose either second, minute
  80.         or hour. Then click start-button and the timer is active.

  82.         Stop-button stops the timer. If you want to download a file from your
  83.         ftp-server with timed transfer then check the download-button and then
  84.         type in the filenam and directory in the correct fields.

  86.         If you want to transfer the selected file only if it's changed then
  87.         check the "Transfer only if file changed" -box.

  90. 5. System requirements
  91.  
  92.     Timed FTP 1.1 has been tested on Windows 95, Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98 and
  93.     Windows NT 4.0. So it should work on all these operating systems.
