1. Introduction
Timed FTP was created, because we didn't find any other program
wich does the same as Timed FTP. Timed FTP is created to transfer
files continuously with a timeinterval that user can self decide.
Timed FTP is an ecxellent program to transfer for example webcam-pictures
to your internet-server or transfer your html-file wich you are
configurin all the time. Timed FTP can also determine if the file
is changed and it will be uploaded only then - if the user want's so.
2. Disclaimer
Timed FTP is freeware, so you may use it for free. Timed FTP 1.1 may
freely be distributed on any cd:s, internet-page or any other media.
If Timed FTP 1.1 is distributed it has to be non-changed.
We don't take any responsibility of the damages Timed FTP causes to the
user of this program or anyone else.
3. Installation
Timed FTP don't need any additional installation, but it's recommended
that you extract the files from the archive to an own directory on your
harddrive.
4. How to use Timed FTP
4.1 Running Timed FTP for the first time
You need to enter the host information at first, so click on the
host information -button. Enter the host where you want to transfer
your file, for example: ftp.pcuf.fi
Then enter your user name and password in the correct fields and
click ok. The host address and user name will be saved for future
use also - you need only to give your password when you start
Timed FTP again.
4.2 To transfer a file emediately
When you have entered your host information as told in step 4.1
you can transfer a file emediately by clicking on the choose file
button and choosing the file to upload. You can enter the directory
and file name also directly in the fields. Then only click on the
transfer now -button.
To download a file from your ftp-server check the download-button
and then type in the filename and directory in the correct fields.
4.3 To use timed transfers
When you have entered your host information as told in step 4.1
you can preset your file transfers. Click on the choose file -button
and choose your file to upload. You can enter the directory and file
name also directly in the fields. Then choose the time interval
for your transfer; enter the time and choose either second, minute
or hour. Then click start-button and the timer is active.
Stop-button stops the timer. If you want to download a file from your
ftp-server with timed transfer then check the download-button and then
type in the filenam and directory in the correct fields.
If you want to transfer the selected file only if it's changed then
check the "Transfer only if file changed" -box.
5. System requirements
Timed FTP 1.1 has been tested on Windows 95, Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98 and
