Previously available only for Macintosh, this program is a version of the popular Pro Tools. It features eight-channel audio (voices), two channels of I/O support via Wave Drivers/Sound Manager (allows compatibility with third-party hardware), and 48 MIDI tracks. It includes graphical edit and mixer windows similar to a professional studio console. Also, it sports a fully functional MIDI sequencer with graphic MIDI editing, a large number of MIDI options, and allows you to import and export standard MIDI files.

Like another user stated....could not even open it up on at least 3 attempts-real sloppy digidesign! then when i was able to....still not impressed!...Cubase/Logic/even Vegas blows it away as far as I am concerned....All the others who are impressed by it(the industry) are using the $8000 model...so don't even compare the cheap consumer model with the professional Core system! would not recommend it because its bare bones and price cannot compete with Cubase/Logic/samplitude/Nuendo/etc.

From movie sound to world famous rock bands, they all would've used this program at some stage. When it comes to flexibility, reliablity, and features, there are not many programs that come close to the FULL version of Protools
