ZipMagic offers a simplified approach to handling archived files. Once installed, it automatically displays all ZIP files on a particular local or network drive as separate ZIP folders, with the contents displayed. Although these compressed files aren't actually opened (to save disk space), you can run, view, or modify the archived files right from within in the ZIP file. Everything the program does is performed automatically, at the operating system level -- no special actions or operations are required. In addition to this transparent functionality, a stand-alone ZIP utility is included, along with stand-alone wizards that enable you to create, repair, email, and convert, and extract from ZIP files. Other wizards let you create self-extracting ZIP files and backup sets. Full ZIP support is offered -- there are no weaknesses or missing features here. ZipMagic also includes a feature-packed download manager and offers special plug-in support for unzipping right from common Web browsers and email programs. It supports ZIP, ARJ, LZH/LHA, Z, GZIP, TAR, TAZ, TGZ, ZOO, and CAB files and UUencode, XXEncode, MIME, and BinHex email attachments. Easy to use and well documented, ZipMagic is the Mercedes of ZIP programs.
