INF-Tool Lite lets you create very small setups for your installation packages.
INF-Tool takes advantage of INF installation files, which are supported by 32-bit versions of Windows. They can be only 2 to 3k in size and they offer the advantage of not requiring a bulky SETUP.EXE or installation software package. The end user simply right-clicks on an INF file and chooses "install". But if you do wish to make things easy for users, a small SETUP.EXE application is included which can be distributed with an INF file.
INF-Tool provides several fill-in the blanks dialog boxes for creating an INF. You simply define a project, choose the files to install, select the destination(s), define any registration modifications, choose the name of a startup group, and place all the files together in a directory or archive. There are various packaging and installation options available; INF-Tool can generate very small self-extracting EXEs, and it supports disk-spanning self-extracting EXE packages that can be split over several disks. It can also install TrueType fonts and register file extensions.
An uninstall script is also generated. Multiple languages are supported, and INF-Tool can read the Windows Registry as well as INF setup scripts.
This program was previously known as INF-Tool.
