  15. iMesh is a search tool that lets you locate and download audio, image, and video files from the Web. The files you search for are located on the computers of other iMesh users. They have agreed to share their files with other people in the iMesh community. Searches can be conducted either from within the iMesh application or through the iMesh Web site. iMesh searches only the files located on the computers of other members of the iMesh community.

  17. iMesh offers advanced features such as simultaneous downloads, which means that if the same file is found at two different locations, the download will be performed from both locations at the same time, making sure you get the file faster. iMesh also offers skins. This version adds a White Pages feature to help locate other iMesh users, a download priority option, direct instant messaging, and more.

  29. "iMESH: Don't Bother With This Napster Clone."
  30. Service is hard to log into - even harder than Napster - and the stability of the program is kind of pitiful. Crashes more than Windows does. Don't bother with their skins, they're ugly as sin. And it's interface is not intuitive. It's pretty lame except for the fact you can search ofr more files than MP3. If MP3 is what you want - stick to Napster. iMESH needed more beta testing before they released it. Not worth the download time.

I like the amount of things you can find on the search (unlike say Napster which you can only download MP3s), but it is almost impossible to get on the network. The lack of Availability of the service is what will do Imesh in. One more thing, the GUI doesn't look that great, more skins than the ugly ones on the site would be nice.
