The NTSync45 database is created automatically if you register Notes users from Windows NT User Manager for Domains. It is also created if you register migrated users with generated passwords using the Admin Client's user registration UI. The database allows the administrator to see automatically generated passwords (not specified by the administrator) for newly registered Notes users. These new user passwords are created during registration.
Each document in this database contains the user name and an associated password field. The User Password field is encrypted with the public key of the administrator who registered the users. Each document is also stamped with the time the document was created; this is the same time the new user was registered in Notes.
Modifying the data in the New User or User Password fields will have no effect on the operation of Notes. This database is used only to store password information for new users which might otherwise be difficult to recover.

These new user passwords are created when the administrator chooses to register users (selected in NT User Manager) into Notes without specifying password information. This allows much quicker registration of many Notes users from NT.

Contents of the field will not be visible if the appropriate administrator's ID is not in current use.
