  19. What's in the distribution?

  21. This distribution contains Voodoo4 and Voodoo5 drivers and
  22. 3dfx Tools for Windows 2000.

  28. Requirements
  29. ------------
  30. - Windows 2000 or higher
  31. - PC with an Intel Pentium series or AMD K6/7 series processor
  32. - A free AGP or PCI slot
  33. - 16MB of RAM or more Suggested
  34.  
  35. Fresh Installation 
  36. ------------------

  38. NOTE: Complete Steps 1 and 2 before removing your existing 2D card.
  39.  
  40. 1) Extract the files for the Voodoo driver to a directory.
  41. 2) Before removing your existing 2D card switch the video driver to 
  42.    Standard VGA. Click Start, Control Panel. Double-click on Display.
  43.  
  44.    Select 640X480 and 16 colors.  Accept the changes.
  45.  
  46. 3) Power off the system and remove your existing 2D card.
  47. 4) Install the Voodoo card in a free AGP or PCI Slot
  48. 5) Power on the system and verify that video appears during post.
  49. 6) Start Windows in Normal mode
  50.  
  51.   (Once Windows starts you may be notified that no video device
  52.    exists, click Cancel if this message appears)
  53.  
  54. 7) Go to the directory where you put the Voodoo driver, run 
  55.    the executable file Setup.exe.  Click SETUP.  At the welcome 
  56.    screen of 3dfx Tools, select NEXT.  Click on YES when prompt to 
  57.    install Voodoo driver.
  58. 8) Follow instruction on the screen to install Voodoo driver 
  59.    and 3dfx Tools Control Panel.
  60. 9) Select 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now' when prompted.

  63. Upgrade Existing Voodoo drivers
  64. --------------------------------

  66. 1) Start Windows 2000
  67. 2) Extract the files for the Voodoo driver to a directory.
  68. 3) Go to the directory where you put the Voodoo driver, run 
  69.    the executable file Setup.exe.  Click SETUP.  At the welcome 
  70.    screen of 3dfx Tools, select NEXT.  Click on YES when prompt to 
  71.    install Voodoo driver.
  72. 4) Follow instruction on the screen to install Voodoo driver 
  73.    and 3dfx Tools Control Panel.
  74. 5) Select 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now' when prompted.
