Under Help here you will find a new useful tip waiting for you every time you open the menu.
In case you didn't know, you also have a Move/ Copy/ Shortcut/ Extract menu available. Try dragging an object to the c-drive with the Right mouse button.
Deselect "Show unassociated files" if you don't frequently work with such file-types. It will make the menus considerably smaller.
400 shortcuts on your desktop? Create a few new folders on the desktop and group your shortcuts in them. Now exploit the ShellGEM menu-system. Right click these folders - presto! your own 'Start-menus'.
To be able to extraxt, drag and drop the file(s) with the right mouse button.
You know you can also right-click 'My Computer'?
The last 10 folders you opened/ moved/ copied/ shortcuted/ extracted will be kept in a separate history.
Edit your Favorites easily - select the Favorites-item in the menu.
Expert Tip: If it is difficult getting at the menu when it pops up in the opposite direction, try increasing the time before the menu pops up a little bit (eg. in TweakUI).
If you know your target folder is in History or Favorites, you can drag and drop in the same folder, then go out in history/favorites and select your target folder. Quick!
Have a look at the HACE homepage on the web for recent developements. Click "Go to HACE on the web".
Deselecting the option 'Show folder icons' will make the menus smaller, and will also make them appear slightly quicker.
Try a different font in the menu. 'Comic Sans MS' is nice.
On the desktop, put a shortcut to the "root-folder" where you copy/ move/ extract files often. Carefully selected, it will in most cases enable you to have fewer desktop shortcuts.
If you accidentally open a submenu and it covers the other menus completely, remove it by pressing the Escape key on the keyboard.
