Melody Assistant is a complete score editor and music composition program.
Melody Assistant is easy to use, and offers a variety of powerful features.
If you use often printed scores, it is easy to enter them on your computer. The program processes almost all the break symbols used in musical writing, and uses them while playing the music. A powerful editor lets you easily place and move the notes on the staves.
You can insert black and white or color graphics (in BMP or PICT format) at any point on the score. You can insert text and comments where you want on the score.
Melody Assistant calculates tablatures and displays the chord diagrams for guitarists. You can even define your own stringed instrument and calculate tablatures for it. A complete library of guitar chord diagrams is included. You can complete this library by defining your own chords.
A complete digital instrument database is integrated into Melody Assistant, which provides high-quality music, even if you don't own professional hardware. The digital sound editor lets you record your own sounds from a CD or a microphone (or load a WAV sound file), and use them as instruments in your tunes.
Melody Assistant lets you import and export music in MIDI or CMF format. It can also read "Band In A Box" style files and MOD files.
You can associate lyrics to a tune, and let the music play in Karaoke mode. The program loads and processes the MIDI Karaoke file format (KAR).
Melody Assistant also offers flexible printing. You can define what staves you want printed, whether you want the ruler, tune name, or the complete lyrics below the score. You can also print the complete sorted list of guitar chord diagrams to make a customized handbook.
The program can be installed in English, French, Italian or German.
