CDEveryWhere is a tool designed to construct cross-platform CD images readable on PCs, Macs, and Unix-based systems.
With CDEveryWhere's easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface, you need not be a CD expert to create professional, cross-platform CD masters. CDEveryWhere supports long filenames, deep directories, and system specific attributes. If you are a Windows or Unix user, it enables you to create Macintosh CDs without a Macintosh or Macintosh hard drive. The program can decode MacBinary, BinHex and the Apple-Unix Filesystem on the fly. Windows and Macintosh users can specify Unix owner/group identification. CDEveryWhere can even make CD images directly from FTP sites, and preserve permissions, owner/group identification and symbolic links. The files it creates for a single CD may be common to all platforms or specific to a platform.
The program supports ISO9660 (the standard CD-ROM format), Microsoft Windows (Joliet), Unix (RockRidge) and Apple Macintosh (HFS). You can create the raw image on any system that supports Java, and then write the image to disc with your usual CDR/CDRW software. CDEveryWhere also supports multiple languages, including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.
