  4. License Agreement
  5. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using this 
  6. software. Unless you have a different license agreement signed by Elecard Ltd. 
  7. your use of this software indicates your acceptance of this license agreement 
  8. and warranty.

  10. Shareware License
  11. Evaluation and Registration
  12. This is not free software.  You are hereby licensed to use this software 
  13. for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 21 days.  If you use 
  14. this software after the 21 day evaluation period a registration fee of $20 
  15. is required.  Payments must be in US dollars drawn on a US bank, and should 
  16. be sent to Andrey Posdnyakov, CITIBANK, NA 201 WEST 34TH STREET NEW YORK, 
  17. NY 10001-0000, Account No.35962103.
  18. Credit card ordering and quantity discounts are available, as described in 
  19. ORDER.TXT.  When payment is received you will be sent a registered copy of 
  20. the latest version of product.

  22. Unregistered use of Elecard Wavelet Image compressor after the 21-day 
  23. evaluation period is in violation of U.S. and international copyright laws.

  25. Distribution
  26. Provided that you verify that you are distributing the Shareware Version you 
  27. are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the Shareware version of this 
  28. software and documentation as you wish; give exact copies of the original 
  29. Shareware version to anyone; and distribute the Shareware version of the 
  30. software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means.  
  31. There is no charge for any of the above.  
  32. Distribution of Elecard Wavelet Java decompressor is ABSOLUTELY FREE and can 
  33. be made independently of the whole package.

  35. You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for 
  36. any such copies, however made; and from distributing the software and/or 
  37. documentation with other products (commercial or otherwise) without prior 
  38. written permission.

  40. Registered Version
  41. One registered copy of Elecard Wavelet Image compressor may either be used by 
  42. a single person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, 
  43. or installed on a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by multiple 
  44. people, but not both.
  45. You may access the registered version of Elecard Wavelet Image compressor 
  46. through a network, provided that you have obtained individual licenses for 
  47. the software covering all workstations that will access the software through 
  48. the network.  For instance, if 8 different workstations will access Elecard 
  49. Wavelet Image compressor on the network, each workstation must have its own 
  50. license, regardless of whether they use it at different times or concurrently.

  52. Disclaimer of Warranty
  53. THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT 
  54. WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES 
  55. WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  In particular, there is no warranty for the 
  56. optional virus scanning feature.  Because of the various hardware and software 
  57. environments into which Elecard Wavelet Image compressor may be put, NO 
  58. WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.

  61. tested with non-critical data before relying on it.  The user must assume
