  7.     This Version 2.1 of TaskInfo2000 is shareware. This
  8. means that I spend significant amount of my time to answer
  9. letters from users and further development of TaskInfo2000. It is
  10. surprise for me, but amount of users is much more than I did
  11. expect when begin this project. Registration fee for TaskInfo2000 
  12. is US $12. Some features are disabled in non-registered version.

  18. ABOUT
  19.  
  20.     TaskInfo2000 is combination of Task Manager and Systen
  21. Information Utility, It visually monitors different types of
  22. System information in Windows 95/98/NT/2000.

  24.     Support multyprocessing in Windows NT/2000.
  25.  
  26.     TaskInfo2000 for Win95/98/NT/2000 shows in real time
  27. information about all running processes and threads including
  28. Windows 9x ring0 VxD threads. For each process information
  29. includes threads, CPU usage, scheduling rate, path, open files,
  30. command line, environment variables, memory usage, DLLs and other.

  32.     It can run new processes and force termination of badly
  33. behaving processes. Change Process priority. From command line you
  34. can start process with needed priority, change priority of running 
  35. process and kill running process, shutdown and reboot system.

  37.     Reboot, Restart, Shutdown System.

  39.     It shows also System wide information: CPU, Memory and
  40. Cache usage. Data rates for Disk, Network, DialUp IO and other.
  41. All Open Files, CPU identification information. Loaded Kernel 
  42. drivers information in WinNT/2000.

  54. INSTALLATION
  55.  
  56.     This program really requires next files to run:
  57.  
  58.     TaskInfo.exe -- GUI Task. You run it.
  59.     tskinf21.vxd -- Win9x Support Kernel Driver.
  60.     tskinf21.sys -- WinNT Support Kernel Driver.
  61.     psapi.dll    -- NT Support DLL    
  62.     TaskInfo.hlp -- This Help.

  64.     So you can simply copy this files anywhere you want
  65. and run TaskInfo.exe. Don't mix files from different versions. It
  66. may crash System.
  67.  
  68.     In WinNT/Win2000 installation directory must be on local
  69. drive. Installer requires user with Administrator privileges.
  70. If you simple user than you can simply copy files (see above). During
  71. start you will see error message but TaskInfo will work with some 
  72. limitations.

  74.     Still it is recommended to run Setup program. Setup will
  75. copy all needed files where you want, create entries in Start Menu
  76. and store in System information needed to uninstall TaskInfo2000.

  78.     Program save setting for Current User in Registry:

  82.     This entries will not be deleted during uninstall.

  87. UNINSTALLATION
  88.  
  89.     If you manually copy TaskInfo2000 files to some directory,
  90. then simply delete these files.
  91.  
  92.     If you had use Setup to install TaskInfo2000 in the System,
  93. then go to "Start Menu/Settings/Control Panel/Add Remove Program"
  94. and double click there on TaskInfo2000 entry.

  96. REGISTRATION
  97.  
  98.     This is shareware program. So you may evaluate it for a
  99. period of  one month  from the date of its original installation
  100. and use. After the evaluation period has elapsed you must register
  101. it. The registration fee for TaskInfo2000 single user license 
  102. is US $12, Site license is US $240, World Wide -- US $1200.

  104. features are disabled in non-registered version.
