  6. Thank you for your interest in Funduc Software's Explorer 
  7. Extensions!
  8.  
  9. Explorer Extensions allow you to perform additional tasks using a 
  10. familiar interface: the Windows 95/NT Explorer.  You can split and
  11. concatenate files to/from diskettes; Encode/Decode UUENCODED,
  12. Base64(MIME), Binhex files (Decode also includes printable, 7 bit
  13. unencoded, & plain text), touch files (change time/date stamp as well
  14. as attributes)

  16. New features in v1.0-2.4 include:
  17. - File Operations allow you to perform Rename/Copy/Move/Delete
  18.   operations on the selected files.  Complex masks can be used
  19.   (see Help for details) and a Preview dialog is displayed to
  20.   show exactly what changes will be made before they are made.
  21. - In the Touch dialog you can now add or subtract (use a 
  22.   negative value) seconds from the date/time stamp of 
  23.   selected files.
  24. - Support for file checksum generation, sorting by checksum and
  25.   duplicate matching using file checksums.  Output files can
  26.   also contain checksum values.
  27. - Split can now be performed based on a string to be found in 
  28.   the file. The split can be made before or after the string 
  29.   is found.
  30. - Enhanced decoding and Quoted-Printable support for encoding
  31. - Dialog prompts if a disk should be cleaned before a split file
  32.   can be copied (if necessary).
  33. - New About box with live Web and E-MAIL links.
  34. - Split creates BAT files for easy concatenation without using the
  35.   extensions (perhaps on another machine).
  36. - New Directory Picker dialog.

  60. Search and Replace for Windows 95/NT 3x (shareware) - Search and
  61. Replace looks through multiple files for a string and can also
  62. replace it with another string.  It can search subdirectories and
  63. ZIP files and do case sensitive or insensitive searches. Extensive
  64. support for regular expression (egrep) search & replacement includes
  65. operations that span more than one line, insertion of the path &
  66. filename during replacements, and incrementing number replacements.
  67. Binary search & replace is also available.  You can specify multiple
  68. include & exclude file masks as well as filters based on file date &
  69. size.  Precise control over replacements is available through
  70. multiple confirmation options and a built-in context viewer that
  71. allows you to view replacements in-context before they are made.  An
  72. easily understood script editor makes frequent &/or complex
  73. multi-step search/replace operations a snap to prepare.  Script
  74. operations include a boolean expression evaluator that provides
  75. advanced decision making to determine which are processed by the
  76. script and full control over program options settings.  The internal
  77. context viewer includes a build-in editor for editing text files.
  78. Other functions include: "Touch" files (change time/date stamp);
  79. Preservation of original file date during replacements; Replacements
  80. on backup path files instead of the originals; Output reports to
  81. monitor operations; Built-in editor for editing text files; Full
  82. compliment of command line switches; Shell extensions for the

  88. Directory Toolkit for Windows 95/NT (shareware) - A multipurpose
  89. directory comparison and file manager that provides features missing
  90. from Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 or higher.  It displays single
  91. directory lists or side-by-side directory comparisons using color
  92. coding for alike, different, or missing files.  Comparisons can be
  93. based on dates or a binary file analysis of file content.  You can
  94. copy, move, & rename files while retaining long filenames and six
  95. built-in synchronize functions simplify updating directories.
  96. Built-in archive functions, with Explorer shell extensions, let you
  97. create & manage archives from Explorer and use Directory Toolkit as
  98. your primary archive manager for supported archives (ZIP, TAR, &
  99. GZ).  File operations and directory comparison functions work
  100. seamlessly on files in archives, e.g., no need to manually extract
  101. files first.  Other features include statistics for file counts and
  102. path sizes; Ignoring filename case during comparisons; Explorer
  103. compatible OLE drag n Drop; Split/Concatenate files to/from
  104. diskettes; Encode/Decode UENCODE, Base64(Mime), BinHex(Mac), and
  105. XXENCODE formats (Decode also includes printable, 7 bit unencoded, &

  109. Find duplicate files on a drive; Open files and launch applications;
  110. Multiple include/exclude file masks and the ability to
  111. include/exclude files based on size and date; Command line switches
  112. to automate comparisons & synchronize operations via batch files;
  113. Configurable output file and print functions to create reports of
  114. single and comparison directory lists; Detects & runs (optionally)
  115. setup programs in archives; File numbering to number files
  116. sequentially based on adjustable sort order and a user defined

  121. Shortcut Doctor for Windows 95/NT (shareware) - Shortcut Doctor
  122. allows you to check all your links/shortcuts and see which contain
  123. targets which can no longer be found.  You can then delete the
  124. shortcuts, resolve them or replace all shortcuts pointing to a
  125. certain drive or directory with another (after validation of new
  126. path is made). Individual shortcuts can be edited and all shortcuts
  127. on a drive can be displayed, regardless of whether they are valid or
  128. not.  CD-ROM drives or network drives can be ignored during
  129. processing. Cost: $15.

  131. HexView for Windows 95/NT (freeware) -  HexView allows you to view,
  132. print, print preview of any file as a Hex Dump.  HexView is
  133. intended as a free companion program to our utility, Search and
  134. Replace. However, it is a standalone application and you are free
  135. to use it as you see fit.  The source code (C++ using MFC 4.x or
  136. higher) can be downloaded for free from http://www.funduc.com.

  138. INI to Registry for Windows 95/NT (freeware) - This program works 
  139. well with any program that relies on .ini files.  It can read the 
  140. contents of any INI file and load them into the Windows 95/NT 
  141. registry.  That way programs which previously used INI files can 
  142. read the old data from the registry.  The program is free.  The 
  143. source code is available for 25.  Please E-MAIL info@funduc.com for

  146. Decode Windows 95 Shell Extension (freeware) - This Explorer 
  147. extension provides a subset of the decoding features available in 
  148. Directory Toolkit.  It allows you to decode a UUENCODED, XXENCODED, 
  149. BinHex or Base64(MIME) file by simply right-clicking on it in the 
  150. Explorer and selecting Decode from the menu.  It supports multiple 
  151. attachments, multi-part files (already concatenated), XXENCODED and 
  152. User (table) encoded files in addition to UUENCODED, Base64(MIME) 
  153. and BinHex (Mac format) files.

  155. Count Characters (freeware) - This little app was written to: 
  156. a) Allow users to dump the contents of combo, edit and list
  157. boxes as well as static and button fields to the clipboard.
  158. This can come in handy for browser lists, as well as items
  159. displayed by other applications to which you otherwise have
  160. no access.  
  161. b) To help users understand how applications are built (what
  162. types of controls are used).  Other tools are available for
  163. this of course but they are usually known only to programmers.
  164. c) To allow users to know at any time how many characters
  165. they have typed in an edit box.  This might be useful, for
  166. example, if a site asks you to only enter a certain amount
  167. of data in their fields but don't tell you that you went
  168. over until it's too late.  Depending on the editor, html
  169. authors might also find this handy for double checking the
  170. length of meta tags.  Separate Win3x & Win 95/98/NT versions
  171. included.
