GetRight (32-bit) is a downloading utility and scheduling program that gracefully recovers from errors that happen while downloading files.
If you've ever spent hours downloading a file, only to have some kind of error occur at the last minute, then you need GetRight. With a Web browser, if an error occurs while you are downloading a file, you must restart the entire download and re-download the entire file. With GetRight, your browser can resume the download and only retrieve the remaining part of the file.
Using GetRight is easy; simply click on an URL in your Web browser or copy an URL to the Clipboard and the file immediately starts to download. You can also drag a download link from your Web browser onto GetRight's window and GetRight will prompt you where to save the file. Once downloaded, you can run or view the file with a single click.
You can schedule file downloads to occur at a later time. A "Daily Downloads" function lets you schedule the downloading of stock information, news, or other frequently published information. You can also give GetRight a list of alternative download locations to try, and if you are downloading from a popular file archive, GetRight will try to download from the fastest location.
GetRight can also split a file into pieces and download different parts from different servers at the same time. This has the effect of increasing the speed of your downloads.
Note: most, but not all FTP and HTTP servers on the Web support the "resume" function.
This latest version fixes a few bugs found in the previous version.
