Corel Linux Boot Floppy How-To -- by Robert Schwartz <roberts@corel.com>
In order to start the Corel Linux installation, you must have either a
bootable CD-ROM drive or a bootable floppy disk.
To create a bootable floppy disk from the Corel Linux CD-ROM, you can
use the DOS/Window's version of RAWRITE2. This, of course, requires a
working Window's or DOS system, a working CD-ROM drive and a floppy
disk drive.
- Insert the Corel Linux CD into your CD-ROM drive
- Place a formatted floppy into your A: drive.
It is not necessary to earse data that may already be on your floppy
disk. RAWRITE will overwrite ANY data on the disk automatically. So
be sure the floppy contains no data you want to save!
- from the CD-ROM's /tools directory, run bootflop.bat
Bootflop.bat will automatically create your boot floppy. You can now use
this floppy to start your computer and the Corel Linux installation
program.
