  1.   ATTENTION: THIS IS A LICENSE, NOT A SALE.  THIS PRODUCT
  2.   IS PROVIDED UNDER THE FOLLOWING AGREEMENT WHICH DEFINES
  3.   WHAT YOU (HEREAFTER REFERRED TO AS "YOU" OR "YOUR")MAY
  4.   DO WITH THE PRODUCT AND CONTAINS LIMITATIONS ON
  5.   WARRANTIES AND/OR REMEDIES.

  7.   COREL(R) LINUX(R) LICENSE AGREEMENT

  9.   IMPORTANT:  CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT BEFORE USING
  10.   THIS PRODUCT.  INSTALLING OR OTHERWISE USING THIS
  11.   PRODUCT INDICATES YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT YOU HAVE READ
  12.   THIS LICENSE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY AND COMPLY WITH
  13.   ITS TERMS.

  15.   A. LICENSE:
  16.   
  17.   1.  Corel LINUX is a modular operating system made up of
  18.   individual software components that were created by
  19.   various individuals and entities ("Software Programs").
  20.   Many of the Software Programs included in Corel LINUX
  21.   are distributed under the terms of the GNU General
  22.   Public License ("GPL") and other similar license
  23.   agreements which permit You to copy, modify and
  24.   redistribute the Software Programs.   Please review the
  25.   terms and conditions of the license agreement that
  26.   accompanies each of the Software Programs included in
  27.   Corel LINUX.  You can also visit
  28.   http://linux.corel.com/products/linux_os/licensing.htm
  29.   for additional licensing information.

  31.   2. In addition to the freely distributable Software
  32.   Programs, some versions of Corel LINUX may also include
  33.   certain Software Programs, such Corel WordPerfect 8 for
  34.   Linux and Bitstream fonts included with Corel LINUX,
  35.   that are not distributed under the terms of the GPL or
  36.   similar licenses that permit modification and
  37.   redistribution.  Generally, each of these Software
  38.   Programs is distributed under the terms of a license
  39.   agreement that grants You a license to install each of
  40.   the Software Programs on a single computer for Your own
  41.   individual use.  Copying (other than for archival
  42.   purposes), redistribution, reverse engineering,
  43.   decompiling and/or modification of these Software
  44.   Programs is prohibited.  Any violation by You of the
  45.   applicable license terms shall immediately terminate
  46.   Your license to use the Software Program. In order to
  47.   view the complete terms and conditions which govern Your
  48.   use of these Software Programs, please consult the
  49.   license agreement hat accompanies each of the Software
  50.   Programs. You can also visit

  52.   for additional licensing information.  If You do not
  53.   agree to comply with and be bound by the terms of the
  54.   applicable license agreements, do not install or
  55.   otherwise use the relevant Software Program.  If you
  56.   wish to install these Software Programs on more than one
  57.   computer, please contact the vendor of the program to
  58.   inquire about purchasing additional licenses.

  60.   B. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS:

  62.   All right, title and interest in the Software Programs,
  63.   including source code, documentation, appearance,
  64.   structure and organization, are held by Corel
  65.   Corporation, Corel Corporation Limited, and others and
  66.   are protected by copyright and other laws.

  68.   C.  WARRANTY:
  69.   
  70.   IF THIS PRODUCT WAS DISTRIBUTED BY COREL ON CD-ROM OR
  71.   OTHER TANGIBLE STORAGE MEDIA, WE WARRANT THAT THE
  72.   STORAGE MEDIA IN THIS PRODUCT WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECT
  73.   IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP UNDER NORMAL USE FOR A
  74.   PERIOD OF NINETY (90) DAYS FROM THE DATE THAT YOU
  75.   ACQUIRE IT.  IF SUCH A DEFECT OCCURS, RETURN THE MEDIA
  76.   TO US AT, COREL CUSTOMER SERVICE, 1600 CARLING AVENUE,
  77.   OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA, K1Z 8R7 AND WE WILL REPLACE IT
  78.   FREE OF CHARGE. THIS REMEDY IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR
  79.   BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY.  IT GIVES YOU CERTAIN RIGHTS
  80.   AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER LEGISLATED RIGHTS WHICH MAY VARY
  81.   FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.

  83.   D. LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY:

  85.   EXCEPT WHERE SPECIFICALLY STATED OTHERWISE IN THIS
  86.   AGREEMENT AND THE APPLICABLE LICENSE AGREEMENTS WHICH
  87.   ACCOMPANY EACH SOFTWARE PROGRAM, COREL LINUX, INCLUDING
  88.   WITHOUT LIMITATION EACH SOFTWARE PROGRAM, IS PROVIDED TO
  89.   YOU ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY OTHER WARRANTIES OR
  90.   CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  91.   LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABLE QUALITY,
  92.   SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
  93.   PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR THOSE ARISING BY LAW, STATUTE,
  94.   USAGE OF TRADE, COURSE OF DEALING OR OTHERWISE.  THE
  95.   ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE OF COREL
  96.   LINUX IS ASSUMED BY YOU.  NEITHER WE NOR OUR DEALERS,
  97.   SUPPLIERS OR LICENSEES SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO YOU
  98.   OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY FOR ANY INDIRECT,
  99.   INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  100.   WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF
  101.   REVENUE OR PROFIT, LOST OR DAMAGED DATA OR OTHER
  102.   COMMERCIAL OR ECONOMIC LOSS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN
  103.   ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR THEY ARE
  104.   FORESEEABLE.  WE ARE ALSO NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CLAIMS BY
  105.   A THIRD PARTY.  OUR MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU
  106.   AND THAT OF OUR DEALERS AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT EXCEED
  107.   THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR COREL LINUX.  THE LIMITATIONS
  108.   IN THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY WHETHER OR NOT THE ALLEGED
  109.   BREACH OR DEFAULT IS A BREACH OF A FUNDAMENTAL CONDITION
  110.   OR TERM OR A FUNDAMENTAL BREACH.  SOME STATES/COUNTRIES
  111.   DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
  112.   FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE
  113.   LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

  115.   E.  DISTRIBUTION
  116.   
  117.   If you are permitted to redistribute Software Programs,
  118.   it is Your responsibility to comply with all export
  119.   laws, rules and regulations in the jurisdictions where
  120.   the Software Programs are exported or re-exported from
  121.   time to time.
  122.   
  123.   F. GENERAL:  
  124.   
  125.   This Agreement, together with the GPL and other license
  126.   agreements which are referred to in paragraph A, is the
  127.   entire agreement regarding your use of Corel LINUX,
  128.   superseding any other agreement or discussions, oral or
  129.   written, and may not be changed except by a signed
  130.   agreement. This Agreement shall be governed by and
  131.   construed in accordance with the laws of the Province
  132.   of Ontario, Canada for product purchased in Canada and
  133.   by the laws of the Republic of Ireland for product
  134.   purchased outside of Canada, excluding that body of law
  135.   applicable to choice of law and excluding the United
  136.   Nations Convention on Contracts for the International
  137.   Sale of Goods and any legislation implementing such
  138.   Convention, if otherwise applicable. If any provision of
  139.   this Agreement is declared by a Court of competent
  140.   jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable,
  141.   such a provision shall be severed from the Agreement and
  142.   the other provisions shall remain in full force and
  143.   effect.
