HTMLtool is a well-designed, feature-rich HTML editor that has established a reputation as being something of a hard-coding classic. It offers a generous array of tools, which it stores neatly under tabs. The tabs include Miscellaneous, Font, Page, Lists, tables, Forms, Frames, Scripts/Java, Tags, and Styles (CSS). HTMLtool also offers Assistants (wizards) for URLs, tables, lists, style sheets, and more. The floating Tag List provides quick, double-click insertion of tag pairs and attributes and even supports ASP, Web TV, and Cold Fusion tags. Among many other advanced functions, HTMLtool boasts a Link Checker, a file weight "scale," a tag stripper, an FTP component, and several libraries of complete Javascript and DHTML scripts. Web developers will appreciate HTMLtool's file export module, which allows export to Unix, Mac, JavaScript, Perl, and C formats. HTMLtool is in a class with the best HTML editors we've seen, and its low price makes it an outstanding value. Complete help is included.
