1.) The program has been re-compiled using Visual Basic 6.0 SP3. To upgrade to the newest version of Info Keep from any previous version YOU MUST UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION AND REINSTALL THE NEW VERSION. This will hopefully be the last time an un-install is necessary when an upgrade is available.
2.) Adjusted the format of all date/time information in the program to display using the current system date/time format. (Example: October 31, 1999 --> 31 October, 1999) Users that were not using the US standard for date/time display were getting program errors. There shouldn't be any more errors concerning date/dime information.
3.) Other minor coding changes.
### Version 1.21
-------------------------------
1.) The program now warns you if you select an expiration date in the past.
2.) The program would sometimes generate an error if you pressed the "Cancel" button while browsing for a file in various areas of the program. -corrected-
3.) Expiration dates for new or existing entries (when modified) now default to the current day +1. (Was January, 1 1999) This makes it easier to select an expiration date.
4.) Pressing the Windows close button ("X" in upper right corner) now minimizes Info Keep instead of closing it. You must select "Exit" from the file menu or press "Ctrl+X" to exit the program.
5.) The menu items for program shortcuts are now prefixed with numbers. (ie 1. 2. 3.) The programs menu in the main window AND the system tray shortcut menu were updated. This feature makes it easier to select menu items when using the keyboard.
6.) All references to the unique "Serial Number" the program generated have been removed. The program was originally going to use the serial number for ordering and support purposes but never did. There was no longer any need to show a serial number in the registration window and about box.
7.) The appearance of pages printed from the "Expired Entry" window have been improved. Printed entry items now have a more detailed description.
8.) There is a new item on the "Options" menu titled "Password Generator Options".The menu option loads the window that allows you to configure passwords that are automatically generated by Info Keep
9.) There is a new button next to the password field in the "Add/Edit Entry" window. The button loads the window that allows you to configure passwords that are automatically generated by Info Keep
### Version 1.20
-------------------------------
1.) All notes text will now wrap properly at the page margins when printing.
2.) A change made durring the last revision caused print errors when printing individual entries. -corrected-
3.) You are now given the option to hide any combination of entry fields on printed pages. (Was password field only)
4.) The file wipe utility will now automatically skip over files that are in use without prompting with an error message. A "Files not wiped" notice now appears at the end of the wipe operation.
5.) The program now unloads more efficiently and cleanly from memory.
### Version 1.10 Revision 8 ### << (current version)
-------------------------------
1.) Added an option to disable the program splash screen. (Options menu)
2.) Changed the appearance of the "data on clipboard" and "window locked" indicators on the main program screen. They are now more consistent with the look of other main window objects.
3.) The password field (main program screen) now only shows the "?┐?┐?┐?┐?┐?┐" mask when password data for that entry exists. You must still click on the field to view the text.
4.) Printed entry information pages now show the correct program version.
5.) Info Keep print options now send one print job to the printer for all pages instead of one seperate job for each page of data.
6.) Corrected a problem that would return an error message if you hit the cancel button while browsing for a file to open.
7.) The log file window colors and size were slightly modified.
8.) The system tray icon would change to red (indicating the window is locked) when the program was minimized with a non password protected file open. The icon change was a false indication that the program was locked when it wasn't. -corrected-
9.) Icons next to the Info Keep icon in the system tray would sometimes (depending on the application) receive a mouse click event. This resulted in the other applications system tray menu appearing when you activated Info Keep from the system tray. -corrected-
10.) For added security you are now given an option when printing information to hide the password field text on printed pages. It's never a good idea to have passwords printed in plain text on paper.
### Version 1.10 Revision 7 ###
-------------------------------
1.) Added an option on the main program screen to clear the 5 password history for each entry. (Red "X" next to the "History..." button)
2.) All Microsoft Access database files created with Info Keep are now password protected using the current information file password. If the current information file is not password protected then the database file won't be password protected either.
3.) Added an option to send the currently open information file to the floppy drive. This option saves the file and then copies it to the systems "A:" drive. This feature allows you to easily put a file on disk and give it to someone or store it for safe keeping.
4.) Added a "file manager" button to the main tool bar. (Labeled "Files...") Pressing this button will display a pop-up menu listing all of the information files saved in the Info keep program directory. This feature allows easy access to all of your files without having to use the standard Windows "Open" dialog box.
5.) You must now click on the "Password" field in the main window to view the password text. This is an added security measure to help ensure that passwords are never seen by anyone than the user of the program. (No "spying eyes")
6.) When the window was locked using "Ctrl + L" (not the lock button) the program would not properly update the system tray / program icon. (from blue to red) -corrected-
7.) Info Keep will now notify you when an entry has expired while the program is running. As soon as the date changes Info Keep loads the expired entries window to notify you of any entry expirations. You no longer have to manually check for expired entries.
8.) The "days remaining until expiration" label on the main program screen would not always stay red (after locking and unlocking the window) when a negative number was displayed. -corrected-
9.) Loading the "Search & Find" window now adds an entry to the program activity log.
10.) You are now prompted to archive the log file if it exceeds 200kb. (about 4000 logged events) Archiving the log file is not required but it is recommended. Log files are saved as "IK-081299.LOG" where the numbers represent the current date in "MMDDYY" format.
11.) Minor spelling corrections
12.) Other minor code updates and enhancements.

3.) The log file statistics (log file size and total logged entries) now reset properly when the log file is cleared.
4.) The indicator box on the notes button in the main program screen would stay red when a file was closed. It now resets properly to gray.
5.) Added an "E-Mail Current Entry" feature to the "Edit" menu and the main tool bar. Selecting this option will copy the current entry data to the clipboard and start your default e-mail program.
### Version 1.10 Revision 5 ###
-------------------------------
1.) On systems with a screen resolution of 800x600 the main form would sometimes be re-positioned too high (off the screen) when the notes window is viewed. -corrected-
2.) The notes window objects were resized to better accommodate a screen resolution of 800x600.
3.) Added more error handling procedures in various places in the program code.
4.) The file wipe utility would sometimes lock up when deleting a file on the root of a drive. (Example: "c:\file.txt") -corrected-
### Version 1.10 Revision 4 ###
-------------------------------
1.) The keyboard hot keys that hide and unhide the entry fields would remain active when the window was locked. This would allow anyone to view some entry data for the currently selected item when the window was locked. -corrected-
2.) The notes window now shows you how many characters (out of 800) are being used for each entry. A small percent bar was also added to show the percentage of the maximum being used.
3.) You can now press the "N" button on your keyboard to view the notes window.
4.) The program icon (in the system tray or task bar) now changes to RED as a visual indication when the program is locked.
5.) The program would update entries instead of adding them due to a window title change. -corrected-
6.) The password text box in the "Add New Entry" window now has a more discreet color scheme. (Black background and Grey text) This helps to further mask password data.
7.) A run-time error would sometimes occur when right-clicking in the main information list. -corrected-
### Version 1.10 Revision 3 ###
-------------------------------
1.) The program would sometimes report that the backup directory specified no longer exists when it really does. -corrected-
2.) Due to some recent re-coding some startup options specified in the configuration settings window (like minimize the window on startup) would not function at all. -corrected-
3.) Sometimes the backup path shown in the "Chose Backup Directory" window would not show the directory previously selected for backups. -corrected-
4.) The "Apply" button in the "Notes" window wouldn't always become enabled when entry notes were changed. -corrected-
5.) The "Entry Notes" window (floating window) would not always update properly when opening new data files. -corrected-
### Version 1.10 Revision 2 ###
-------------------------------
1.) Re-arranged some buttons (OK, Cancel, Help) in various windows to conform to Windows applications standards and to make all windows look more consistent.

6.) Corrected a bug that would cause an error and make the program lock when only one entry existed in the main list and "Ctrl + A" was pressed. (Copy all entries)
7.) The program now notifies you if the specified backup path does not exist when a backup/save operation is taking place.
### Version 1.10 Revision 1 ###
-------------------------------
1.) The keypad minus sign ("-") AND the escape key ("ESC") were both programmed to minimize the main program window. (Quick minimize in case of "preying" eyes) The escape key still minimizes the window but the keypad minus sign will now hide and unhide all entry fields in the main program screen. (Equivalent to "Ctrl + H")
2.) Tool tips would show in the notes window even if the "Enable Tool Tips" option (Help menu) was disabled. -corrected-
3.) Added a label in the search window that lets you know how many entries were found that contain the requested search text. Before there was no way to know how many entries were in the list without counting them.
4.) The main program screen gets another face lift. 3D panel objects replace all labels in the main entry screen. Some fonts and object placement were changed as well. The main screen looks much more professional now.
5.) The red indicator box in the notes button on the main screen would stay gray after the program was unlocked even if the currently selected entry contains notes. -corrected-
6.) The color of the text in the box that shows the number of days until an entry expires would show through even if the entry fields were hidden. -corrected-
7.) Tool tips would sometimes show in some windows even if they were disabled. -corrected-
### Version 1.10 Revision 0 ###
-------------------------------
1.) The program description text boxes in the "Add/Edit Program Shortcuts" window can now be up to 48 characters long. (Was 40)
2.) The extra parameters text boxes for each program in the "Add/Edit Program Shortcuts" window can now be up to 64 characters long. (Was 32)

4.) Event log entries would be added to the event log at program startup for the entry notes window and entry expirations window when they were not supposed to. -corrected-
5.) The tab order for all objects in the program shortcuts window is now much smoother and more sequential.
6.) Re-arranged most of the main screen objects. Made things look a little better.
7.) Added an entry field for "Associated Application" in the main window. This makes it easy to view the associated application for the selected entry as you browse through your data. The "Run Associated Application" button was removed. To run any file associated with an entry all you have to do is click on the application path in the main window. Just like a web or e-mail link.
8.) You can now right click on any item in the main entry list to get an instant tool tip of its text. Example: If you have a really long entry title in the main list just right click on the entry to see the entire length of text.
9.) You can now right click on any entry in the list to get an instant tool tip of its text. Example: If you have a really long web page address listed just right click on the "Web Page URL" field to see the entire length of text in a screen tool tip.

16.) Fixed a bug that would cause the "Always on Top" option to not re-enable itself between program loads.
17.) The fifth program shortcut in the system tray menu would stay disabled even if a program shortcut was specified. -corrected-
18.) Added a "Search and Find" program option. (Options Menu) This feature allows you to search for any text in the currently open data file. All fields of all entry items are searched.
19) An error would be generated if a data file was exported as an access database if any entry text was too long. (Over 64 characters) All database fields are now exported as "memo's" instead of "text" with a much higher character limit.
### Version 1.00 Revision 1 ###
-------------------------------
1.) Sometimes a false "Failed Unlock Attempt" would occur when unlocking a file for the first time after it was opened. -Corrected-
2.) When opening any window in the program other than the main window AND if the "Always on Top" option was enabled, the windows would "fight" with each other in an endless loop to be on top. The program would lock and have to be shut down. -Corrected-
3.) The program now reports a polite error message if a file that is run from the program shortcuts menu no longer exists.
4.) The program now reports a polite error message if a file that is run from the main screen (associated application for an entry) no longer exists.
5.) Changed the check box description in the "Add/Edit Programs" window. It's now a little more descriptive about running applications and minimizing Info Keep.
6.) When a file is automatically backed up and an activity log entry is created, the file backup path is listed in the log file instead of the original file path.
7.) When printing anything from the program, an error message would be displayed if you pressed "Cancel" in the print window. -Corrected-
8.) Modified the appearance of the file properties window. File property items use a 3d panel instead of a standard label object.
9.) Updated the logo and form layout of the "About Box". Put all "About" information labels on a 3d panel.
10.) The event log now uses a list box to display its log events instead of a text box. There is no longer a limit on the size of the log file that can be displayed. Previously only 55kb of the log file could be displayed.
11.) There is now a confirmation dialog box for entry deletion. The delete confirmation can be disabled via the new menu item under "Options".
12.) All shortcut exe paths (Add/Change Programs Window) can now use extra command line parameters. Example: [program.exe /parameter] "program.exe" is the application you want to run, "/parameter" is whatever command line parameters you want to give the program.
13.) The main program window no longer gets disabled during decryption operations. It will now stay visible while opening a file instead of dropping behind other windows that are open.
14.) The program activity log window now shows the size of the activity log and the number of event entries it contains.
