Please make sure that you have the following files:
FileUpdate.exe
readme.txt
rotate.wav
RubicksHypercube.cnt
RubicksHypercube.exe
RUBICKSHYPERCUBE.HLP
Use FileUpdate.exe to update your Rubick's Hypercube files to be compatible with the new format. Any old Rubick's Hypercube files you have which were made with any version of Rubick's Hypercube less than BETA-5000 cannot be opened with the new version of Rubick's Hypercube until you update them with FileUpdate.exe.
Version BETA-5200 of Rubick's Hypercube has a couple of new features. First, it allows you to save a high scores file at any time in the game, not just when you have won. It saves the percentage solved in the high scores file. You can then email this file to me and I will include your score in a high scores web page. It also contains a processor timing function (You will see it perform 6 moves at the begining of the game, which undo each other, leaving the original Rubick's Hypercube unchanged) The purpose of this is to determine the speed of your processor so it can adjust the animation to run at the correct speed.
If you're new to the Rubick's Hypercube, you can learn more about it by going to the Tutorial. To view the tutorial, double click on "RUBICKSHYPERCUBE.HLP", then under the "Contents" tab, double click on the topic: "Tutorial". This should help you get started learning about Rubick's Hypercube.
