INSTALLING FileWrangler
------------------------------
Before you can begin using FileWrangler you must run the FileWrangler
Setup program from Windows. To install FileWrangler, follow the steps below:
1. Start Windows.
2. Extracting the program files using an unzip program (or run the self-extracting EXE). Place the files to a working directory on your hard disk.
3. We also recommend that you make a backup copy of the program files onto diskettes, just in case you need to reinstall later. For backup purposes, place these files onto diskettes which have labels as follows:
"DISK 1 of 4" contains: SETUP.EXE Wrangler.001
"DISK 2 of 4" contains: Wrangler.002
"DISK 3 of 4" contains: Wrangler.003
"DISK 4 of 4" contains: Wrangler.004
3. Click on the Windows Start button (or open your file manager).
4. Select "Run..." from the "Start" menu or run Setup from your file manager.
5. In the "Command Line" field enter one of the following:
- If you placed the FileWrangler diskette into drive
A:, type: A:\SETUP
- If you downloaded FileWrangler, type:
C:\DIRNAME\SETUP (Remember to replace DIRNAME with the name
of the directory where you uncompressed FileWrangler's files).
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
7. If you decide not to continue to use FileWrangler, open the Windows
Control Panel and click on the Add/Remove Programs icon, then
select FileWrangler from the list to remove it from your system.
