PROGRAM OVERVIEW
================
Finding files on hard drives can be a nightmare, and finding
files on removable disks such as CD-ROMs, Zip disks and
diskettes can be impossible. SuperCat lets you catalog all
your disks, so you'll never lose a file again.
Designed to work with Windows 95/98, NT (4.0 or later) and
Windows 2000, SuperCat is an easy to use utility for cataloging,
searching and managing removable disks (CD-ROM, Zip, Jaz, LS-120, etc.),
floppydisks, harddisks and network drives.
SuperCat 3.1 is both easy to use for novice users, and has powerful
features required by professional users like network administrators, etc.
Working with catalogs (also referred to as indexes and indexfiles),
you can easily locate files on removable disks, even if the disk is
not physically accessible from your computer.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
===================
- 386 or 486 PC (minimum). Pentium or higher recommended
- Windows 95/98, NT (v4.0 or later) or Windows 2000
- VGA or Super-VGA monitor
- 2 MB (minimum) of free disk space
- A mouse or equivalent pointing device
INSTALL/UNINSTALL
=================
Extract the files to a temporary directory. You can delete this
directory when setup has completed. Run Setup.exe and follow the
instructions. Use one of these methods to run Setup.exe:
- Select Run from the Taskbar Start menu, type the full path of the
temporary directory followed by a backslash and the name of the
installation program (e.g., C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE). Press the ENTER key.
- Use My Computer or Explorer to find the Setup.exe file. Double-
click the icon to run it.
You can uninstall SuperCat by double-clicking on "Add/Remove Programs"
in the control panel, selecting SuperCat in the list, and clicking the
"Add/Remove" button. After uninstalling you will need to manually
remove the SuperCat directory and any files left in it since the
uninstall does not remove any data files that has been created.
